Pokemon Conquest 2 is an upcoming game in the Pokemon Series. It is a sequel to Pokemon Conquest a Pokemon Spin-off Title combining Pokemon and Nobunaga's Ambition. Unlike the previous game the characters are not based off the Samurai Warriors games as the location is instead set at Konton.

Gameplay

Like its predecessor, Pokemon Conquest 2 features a Turn-Bassed Strategy Battle System where each Pokemon is operated by a different individual. In addition each Pokemon now knows 3 moves instead of 1, some Legendary Pokemon will also be able to use a fourth, Signature Move when in a Perfect Link.

Like before Pokemon evolve through methods based on their stats rather than experience points. Stat increases are gained through connecting the Pokemon with a Warrior. Pokemon that in normal Pokemon Games evolve by levelling up now evolve by reaching a certain link percentage with a warrior. For a 3 Stage Evolution like a Starter the Connections are at 50% & 75% respectively while for a 2 Stage Evolution like Ekans or Drowzee the connection is at 65% for evolution.

In addition, Pokemon that evolve through non-conventional means such as Eevee evolve based on various factors. See the following;

Evolution Method Evolution Requirement
Evolutionary Stones Buy Evolutionary Stone from Market and use it on Pokemon
Friendship Have a Link of 80% and give the Pokemon the Band of Trust Item
Moves Evolves at the respective Connection Link for that type of evolution
Areas Evolves in the Kingdom of its Primary Type (eg. Glaceon in Okan, Magnezone in Suchiru)
Time (includes Happiness of a certain Time of Day)

Day Evolution: 6AM-6PM

Night Evolution: 6PM-6AM

Held Items Buy Held Item from Travelling Trader and give it to the Pokemon and win a battle
Sylveon Evolves in the Shinwa Kingdom
Mantine Evolves when a Remoraid is on the player's side in battle
Milotic Evolves in the Kaiyo Kingdom
Gender Specific Evolutions Pokemon Evolve regardless, as Pokemon Gender is not a Feature in Pokemon Conquest
Shedinja The player chooses whether to get Ninjask or Shedinja upon Nincada evolving
Pangoro Evolves when 2 Dark Types are on the player's side in battle
Malamar Evolves in the Seishin Kingdom
Goodra Evolves if a battle is Raining
Wormadam & Mothim

Grass Wormadam - Evolves in the Rifu Kingdom

Sand Wormadam - Evolves in the Sabaku Kingdom

Trash Wormadam - Evolves in the Suchiru Kingdom

Mothim - Evolve in any other Kingdom

The Hitmons

Hitmonchan - Majority of Battles against; Fire, Water, Flying, Rock, Ghost & Dragon

Hitmonlee - Majority of Battles against; Electric, Dark, Ground, Fighting, Normal & Poison

Hitmontop - Majority of Battles against; Ice, Grass ,Steel, Psychic, Bug & Fairy

Silcoon & Cascoon

Silcoon - Evolves in the; Suton, Densetsu, Konchu, Yudoku, Okan, Marisu, Senso, Suchiru or Shinwa Kingdoms

Cascoon - Evolves in the; Ea, Oru, Myakuhaku, Sabaku, Nento, Seishin, Sekitan, Kaiyo or Rifu Kingdoms

Like before the game uses the Pokemon Games' now 18 Types for the Type Effectiveness which is identical to Generation 6. In addition Abilities for Pokemon return as do Warrior Skills, however Warrior Skills now enhance the Pokemon's Ability when its a perfect match, for example; Shido's Warrior Skill, Rapid Growth only works with Pokemon with the Overgrow Ability. It should be noted that some abilities have been changed as they don't work in Pokemon Conquest 2.

In addition the player also has to tend to the land of their Kingdom/s, this is a bit more fleshed out than in Pokemon Conquest as the player controls what the plots of land do and can investigate each plot of land and battle multiple times per turn. In addition each Kingdom has a different amount of Plot Space.

Battles are much more expansive than previous variations with up to 30 Pokemon on each side, this has made Battle Stages much larger with more distinctive features and complex traps. Each Kingdom when invaded has 5 Battlefields each one taking some particular feature of that Kingdom for example, the Sabaku Kingdom has the; Desert Abyss, Stone Relics, Quicksand Pits, Wet Clay Canyon & Mud Fortress.

Perfect Link

A Perfect Link is the connection between a Warrior and the Pokemon they work best with, when a Perfect Link is achieved and reaches 100% the Pokemon will deal an additional 10% damage and all secondary effects are made 5% more likely.

Each Warrior has a specific Pokemon although since standard Warriors are randomly generated a player will have to check the Warrior when teamed up with certain Pokemon to see which one is their Perfect Link, a Perfect Link is indicated by a blue stream of particles instead of the yellow stream. The Warlords have set Perfect Links although have 2 Perfect Links, the first is their Classic Perfect Link and the second is their Secret Perfect Link, the Secret Perfect Link Pokemon gains an additional 20% damage instead of 10% and secondary effects are made 10% more likely instead of 5%.

Warlord Perfect Links

It should be noted that all Secret Perfect Links are capable of Mega Evolution.
