Trainer Classes

Throughout the Potaku Region there are numerous trainers who the player may face on their journey to reach the Pokemon League, Trainers have all sorts of reasons for becoming who they are, from desiring to own all the Bug-Type Pokemon to training only Cuty Pokemon, Trainers have a variety of classes depending on their level of knowledge of battling and types of Pokemon/Battle Tactics they use.

Gym Leaders

The Gym Leaders, notably appear significantly throughout the game, it is revealed the Gym Leaders of the Pokuta Region are decided by the 10,000 year old prophecy as they are direct descendants of those chosen by the Legendary Pokemon from the last prophecy.

Elite Four

The Elite Four of the Pokatu region are said to not only act as the region's Elite Four but also as the heads of the Pokemon League association, they govern who is permitted to become a Gym Leader, Elite Four or even Champion in other regions and are only overruled by Potaku's own Champion. Being an Elite Four member for the Potaku Region is a lifetime occupation as members are only replaced after retirement, irregardless of who defeats them.

All Battles against Elite Four and the Champion of the Potaku Region use the Ultimate Freedom Rules.

Rival

The player has a single rival that helps train with the player throughout the entire game, there are more fights between the player and their rival than any other rival from previous Pokemon games and encounters are fairly frequent.
