The main types of stages are move-limited stages, which are separated into areas. Each area contains a certain mega Pokémon who is an area boss. Players will usually need coins to beat these stages. Many stages are the same as in the original version, but a majority have either moved to special stages/EX stages, become different in some way, or the Pokémon could have an entirely different opinion.
Note: area names are tentative. More will be confirmed later.
Area 1: Stages 1-10
A tutorial for the game. After completing stage 10, the main stage line becomes much more complex, as the player must follow a storyline. (to be explained further later on)
After clearing Area 1, the player unlocks the first EX stages (1-3), which are timed stages. They also unlock Special Stages and the first Grand Key. They can progress through the storyline, which concludes at the final stage in the initial release, stage 300.
