Pokémon Moves (also known as simply Moves) are either attacking, defending or changing powers that Pokémon uses in Battle, Contest, and other uses. Each Moves have their own Base Power, with some of them don't do direct damage or only set damage, Base Accuracy, amount of Power Points (PPs in short), Type, and any possible effects.

Each Pokémon have their own learnset, from Level-Up Moves, TM Moves (HM Moves are reverted into regular TM moves in favor of Transport Pokémon), Egg Moves (learn by parents via breeding, or by Enter-Teaching), Tutor Moves and Enter-Teaching (a new addition of the DexNav). Some Pokémon have very restrained learnset such as Unown, although Smeargle and its Evolution from Mighty and Nasty, Chefdart, despite this condition, can actually learn almost every kind of moves with its Signature Move, Sketch.

As with every Generation, Pokémon Progress and Regress introduces multiple moves, with some of them are Signature Moves for certain Pokémon or a certain Pokémon Evolution line.

Along with the super-powerful Z-Moves returning from Pokémon Sun and Moon, Move Rank is also introduced; the Moves become better as the Pokémon have higher level. The more details are found here.
