Clamemoir (Japanese: Gigasuko, ギガスコ) is a dual Water and Psychic-type Pokémon. It evolves from Bivalver when when leveled up while holding the item, "Orb of Senses". It is exclusive to Pokémon Wood.

Biology

Clamemoir is a large clam-like Pokémon with a grey-purple shell with bright blue fringes. On to of the shell are black eyes with pink rises where pink hallucinogenic gas will be expelled from. The inside of the Pokémon is a pale dark pink color with a pearl-like object inside that has the same eye markings as the shell.

Abilities

It is able to expel out hallucinogenic gas that can cause Pokémon to experience illusions so strong that it can hurt them. It is also capable of crushing attacks by clamping down and protect itself from damage. in addition, it is capable of squirting out water.

Behavior

It will plant itself on the ocean floor near reefs and will wait for prey to come by. It tends to remain motionless for decades at a time.

Diet

Clamemoir feeds on tiny microorganisms found in the ocean.

Habitat

It can be found in oceans and bays.

Version Description
Metal It uses the eyes on its shell to produce a hallucinogenic mist. These illusions are so strong that those caught in it may experience it effects for years after.
Wood Clamemoir is not known for being a traveler and will remain still for decades at a time. It is a very long lived Pokémon with the oldest Clamemoir being around 800 years old.

Origin

Clamemoir is based of the sea monster Shen which is able to create mirages. It is prevalent in both Japanese and Chinese folklores.

Name Origin

Clamemoir is based off from clam and memoir.

ギガスコ is based off from ギガス Gigas (referring to the Giant Clam's scientific name) and シャコガイ shakogai (Giant Clam).
