Pokemon Frost & Flare (known as Pocket Monsters Fire and Ice in Japan) are the 2 paired versions for Generation 7. Like all Pokemon Games, It stars a character on a journey to become Pokemon Masters.

Plot

After turning 10 years old, you can finally start your Journey to become a Pokemon Master. You get your first Pokemon from Professor Winter, where you have the choice to pick a Grass, Water, or Fire Type starters. After getting them, you will go on your journey to get 8 gym badges, where you will learn of the return of Team Rocket and their plot to take over the world with either Kahjii (Frost) or Koori (Flare) and how to defeat one, it must be united with the other.

You will run into your rival, either Flare (if the player is male) or Frost (If the player is female) and go to the Pokemon League and beat the champion.

Connectivity

Using IR connection, you can battle or trade Pokemon with friends, as well as use Global connections to battle or trade them worldwide. Trading is needed to get all the Pokemon in the game, there are game exclusives.

Events

So far, no events have been anounced, but it has been stated that there will be an event to get Mew.

Compatibility

It is possible to transfer pokemon from generations 4-6 using the new Early Days feature, which you do a minigame similar to the PokeTransfer game.
