The film's story will follow an inexperienced young trainer as he tries to accomplish his goal to be Pokemon master, but faces unexpected and dangerous obstacles in his path.
The film is set to be out July 22, 2016 and as well presented in regular 2D, Real D 3D and IMAX featuring Dolby Surround 7.1 sound.
Aiden, a rookie trainer, decides to try to catch several inexperienced pokemon in attempt to gain the badges from hugely popular and experienced trainers. As his ultimate goal is to enter into Giovanni King's The Grand PokéTorunament. Can Aiden defy the odds to gain the ultimate prize or risk everything he dreams.
The main cast has been announced:
- Colton Haynes is confirmed to play the main human protagonist, Aiden Folder.
- Kevin Spacey is confirmed to play Giovanni King.
- The rest of the main cast includes Willa Holland, John Boyega, Emmy Rossum, Tom Felton, and Andy Serkis. However their roles will remain secret and won't be revealed until the 2015 TalixCon.
- There will be more cast announcements and which pokémon will be featured at the 2015 TalixCon.
TalixArts announced the production of the Pokémon film adaption recently at the 2014 TalixCon. TalixArt's film production studio, TalixArts Jr., is heavily involved. The film is very much inspired by the first generation (Red, Blue, and Yellow), but some of the human characters in the game could be featured differently upon the film.
Except for the main cast announcement, not much is known. A lot will be revealed at next year's TalixCon. However, there will be a surprise event that will reveal something huge that could dictate future sequels. The reveal will be announced on December 30, 2014.
Music will be composed by Lucas Vidal. The TV series theme will be remixed and recorded by the band Rooney.
