Special Moves

Name Damage Description
Neutral Special Shock Wave 3%/2% (ball), 4%/2% (wave clean), 2.5% (wave late) Similar to Pikachu’s thunder wave alternate special but stronger.
Alternate 1 Thunder Jolt 4% (ball), 5%/4% (wave clean), 4%/3% (wave mid), 3%/2% (wave late) Fires a jolt of electricity forward. Exactly like Pikachu’s thunder jolt but weaker.
Alternate 2 Fling 9% (clean), 6% (late and coming back) Pichu throws the battle item, Magnet, which works like a boomerang always coming right back to Pichu.
Side Special Thunder Punch 8% Pichu sort of boosts forward and attacks with an electrified punch similar to Captain Falcon. However, the opponent is always sent forward, instead of up, and it cannot spike like Captain Falcon’s raptor boost. Also can be used to recover like Captain Falcon’s but of course, not always safe.
Alternate 1 Volt Switch 10% Pichu boosts forward head first covered in electricity. If Pichu makes contact with an opponent, it bounces right back off the opponent.
Alternate 2 Skull Bash 1.2% (loop), 3% (last) Works very similar to Pikachu’s Shocking Skull Bash from SSB4.
Up Special Quick Attack 1.5% per warp Moves at warp speed in two directions that can be selected via the control stick. The second warp is optional, but if used, the direction must be at least 45 degrees different than the first direction to work. Leaves Pichu helpless when used in the air.
Alternate 1 Agility More range than Quick Attack but there is no hit box at all.
Alternate 2 Air Balloon Works very similar to Villager’s Balloon Trip but there’s only one balloon. It also seems to move faster than Villager’s Balloon Trip.
Down Special Flail 1.1x damage A simple counter which involves Pichu attacking with a scratch while saying “Pichu!”. Rather weak, but KOs lighter opponents (from smash attacks) at 122%+.
Alternate 1 Thunder 5% (bolt meteor), 6% (bolt non-meteor), 13% (blast) Causes a large thunderbolt to come down on itself. Unlike Pikachu’s thunder, the knockback of the bolt is more horizontal but the meteor smash hitbox near the cloud remains. It also has less end lag as opposed to Pikachu’s but is weaker.
Alternate 2 Charge 1% Pichu charges up electricity for about 5 seconds. After the charge, the knockback of the next smash attack used by Pichu is increased and the damage by 2%. The charge aura does damage but not knockback at all.
Final Smash Reversal 44% This is somewhat of an odd final smash as it doesn’t actually involve Pichu attacking the opponent most of the time. Instead, Pichu sends a nearby opponent into an animation which involves THEM attacking Pichu with a flurry of attacks. Although they’re attacking Pichu, Pichu only takes 1% damage from all of it (this may be a reference to Melee Pichu). Pichu then retaliates with an intense electric covered headbutt sending the opponent flying.
