Story
Edit
This is Earth. long ago, humans died out. But they created many new species, sentient and not, to watch over the Earth. They also detemined a family in each species to rule over them. This family would use human names instead of their own species names. Unfortuanatly, most species later decided that humans should not rule over them centuries after the died of, seeing as they did, so most dropped the family idea. Soon, only te Dragkas kept the family.
Eventually, though, all of the family died off, with only one left: his name was Pete. And orphaned member of The Family, most of his peers humiliated him, seeing no reason not to, as he was quite clumsy. One day, his last friend decided to laugh at him. This drove Pete to tears, and he ran away from the cave they were living in.
Pete runs for a long time before triping and falling all the way down the mountain that was base to his cave. He got knocked out, and awoke to seeing his friend that had betrayed him just earilier cackling infront of him.
"He... has finally been downed. Master, have I done my job correctly?" said his ex-friend. "Yes... you have. But I cannot reward you. Instead..." replied an inky, cloudy figure infront of him. Then, the figure suddenly reached into his pocket and took from it a black orb, which he threw at Pete's friend. The dragonette was immediatly destroyed.
"Now all I must do is engulf him in darkness..." said the odd figure to himself. But, when the figure floated over to Pete, he started his change into a full Dragka! This surprised the figure so so much that he flew backwards, right into a tree.
The figure lay on the ground, unconsious, as Pete stood up. "Wow!" said the new Dragka, "Oh no! I'd better run...", but alas, Pete was not used to his heavy self yet. "That's why the adults always fly around so mu-" started the Prince, but the figure suddenly awoke and teleported to him, grabbing his neck.
Both of them suddenly appeared in the sky. "Get ready to die!" said the figure. "I am the Dark Mist, and cannot be defeated by the likes of you! When you touch the surface, your body will explode, and I will hystericly lauch as I drop down and absorb you! THEN I WILL CONTROL ALL!!!".
"Not on my watch!" said someone below, and suddenly the figure had an arrow in his arm. "AYEEEEEEE!!!" screeched the "Dark Mist", who started teleporting randomly around. Then he screeched again, and dropped Pete. Luckily, they were just a few feet off the ground then, so Pete wasn't hurt.
A humanoid bunny ran over. Pete recognized her as a Buniod, one of the sentient creatures created by the humans. "Are you OK?" she asked Pete. "Ye- ye... es... I'm-M...fin-ne..." replied the Dragka. "I'm Sara. I... saved you. I don't know why, I just felt like I should... should save you. Here, eat this," said the buniod, who but a biscuit-like object in his mouth.
Pete suddenly felt better, but it didn't look like the Dark Mist was in good shape. "I'll get you next time! I still have the Power Sparks..." said the figure, who put his hand in his pocket, "Oh no... where are they? Well, I guess I wil have to find them," he said, and teleported away.
"Hmm... Power Sparks. I've read about them. They carry a large amount of power, enough to destroy the world! Luckily, it requires a member of the Family and all the Power Sparks to do that, and it doesn't seem like he has either!" said Sara. "Well, he has them both... you see, I'm the last member of the Dragka and Dragonette Family." replied Pete.
"Wow, you are? Cool! Anyhoo, we need to find his scattered Power Sparks. First I need one, and then I can track the energy signals from it to find the other." said Sara, "As we find more, new areas will be opened up and we might find more abilities".
"Well, let's go! There are only 45 Power Sparks! Wait... 45 Power Sparks? That's alot..." said Pete, but Sara replied "Don't worry, it'll be fun! And fast. Come on, I think I here one over there..."
Sara lead Pete over to a Power Spark next to a big plant. Suddenly, the plant ate it and started attacking Pete. Sara explains how to attack, and Pete is able to defeat it and get the Spark. "Good job!" said Sara, "Here... If I put it in this machine, I can find the others!".
As the good guys found more Power Sparks, Dark Mist begain to appear many times, attempting to turn Pete evil. Of course, Pete always won, but DM was getting stronger and stronger as time went on, and during one battle he almost beat Pete.
Afterwards, the two heros tracked down even more Power Sparks, but one time where challenged by a large tree. Pete decided to return to his cave, where he gained new respect due to his transformation. They teached him how to breathe fire, and he used it to get past the tree.
Later on, though, a floating pirate ship appeared and captured Sara, forcing Pete to track them ddown. Sadly, there was a gap too big between them, but he returned to Gragar Cave and learnt to fly. After that, he saved Sara and defeated the Skeleton Pirates, finding out they worked for Dark Mist.
Eventually, Pete and Sara have learned all their moves and gave captured all 45 Power Sparks. With the power of them, and use them to find Dark Mist.
Gameplay
Edit
Pete is a single-player action-adventure hybrid game, where the player controls the protanginists Pete and Sare Pete is able to jump and use powerful punches from the start of the game, while Sara is more for stealth and as such has only one attack, but can float. The goal of the game is to head to the next story point of the game: for example, at one part in the game Sara is captured and Pete must rescue her from a floating pirate ship. Although the story usally advances through story points, Pete and Sara are free to explore all the world and therefore may complete sub-quests or maybe even find parts of the game that allow them to skip the next story ponts.
Storywise, the goal of the game is to collect all the Power Sparks in the Land of Or, which can power the Mech-Volcano again to stop Dark Mist. Power Sparks are usally in the the hands of bosses or are held by characters that require a task to be done (which probaly requires a boss to be beat). Although at the start of the game only one area can be accessed, more and more become avaliable and sometimes areas can be completed before others actually first in the storyline.
Later in the game, Pete gains more abilitys from Gragar Cave, like flying and breathing a long breathe of fire. Sara also learns more stealth moves, like sneak and Wall Kling, from worlds in the game. Each character has a health bar that can be made larger with HP Upgrades. When it completely empties out the character dies. Pete's health bar has a campacity of 50 HP while Sara can only have 25 HP. Both start at 10 HP.
Players can also take control of Yolong, a Dragonette. In order to control her, Pete or Sara must rescue all the Dragonettes from the area and take them back to Gragar Cave. When that happens, Yolong follows you back to the area and takes place there, offering assistance. Yolong is able to fit in many small places, and can use a special invention in each area, such as a Laser Gun to destroy walls.

Gragar Cave
Edit
A large cave filled with Dragkas, and the first location of the game. It is split into four areas: Mine Caverns, Dining Hall, the Burrows and the Dragonette Playroom. Stat-raising crystals can be mined in Mine Caverns, and some people can give you quests there. For a small fee, you can refill your health and purchase items at Dining Hall.
Most Dragkas can be found in the Burrows, sometimes sleeping in their home of straw. A tunnel to the old Kings Chamber is here.
