Paper Mario: Plot Twisted is a fanmade Paper Mario story by KoopsGuy (Otherwise known as simply Koops) whose artworks are getting worked on at the moment. Please excuse the absence of any content for the time being.

Like most Paper Mario fangames, this one mostly follows the first two games' style, with tweaks to make it feel like its own thing.
Plot[]
A threat, known as the "Glitch" threatens to twist and alter the reality of the world, and the 16 code stars must be collected and installed into the Cave Of Functions to prevent such a disaster.
Prologue: A Glitch Menace[]
After the events of <insert whichever game's name here>, Mario and Luigi are at home. Luigi is already up having breakfast, while Mario is sleeping in (it’s even 11:30 AM at that time for crying out loud) When he does wake up, he heads towards the living room, greeted by his brother.
The TV program then is suddenly interrupted by the news channel to announce the death of Royal T, Mayor of Toad Town. His funeral will be held at noon, and considering it’s 11:30 already, the bros need to hurry. As soon as they step out their front door however, two mysterious beings run by and snatch their hammers. Toad Town Sewers being the fastest way to get to Peach's Castle, it would be dangerous to head there without a weapon in hand, so the bros give chase. Along the way, the meet a mustachioed Goomba Spy who works for someone known to Mario and Luigi and urges them to follow him, but first they need to get their hammers back.
The Goomba introduces himself as Goombeddy and proposes to help the group, with his knowledge of the world. Shortly after that, three different Goombas, one normal, one with wings, and the last one with a spike helmet. Goombeddy begins teaching how the battle system works, and all goes well, until one of the idiots jump on the spiny Goomba. Goombeddy then introduces the run option, which is, quote on quote: "not the bravest there is, but what else can we do?"
They run away succesfully. Journeying across the Litlue Woods, they then arrive at the Darkreen Plains which consists of... nothing, beside grass... and a storm cloud but other those features it’s pretty much what the name says, if it does say anything.
The Shadow thieves are cornered and ambushed by the bros, in a place with no walls, suck at their job these guys. They then improvise, say their names are Hector and Victor, or at least that’s how they like to be called. And with that, it’s Prologue Boss Time! Mario and Luigi gain back their hammers! And Goombeddy joins the party as a... party member!
