Panpour, known in Japan as ヒヤップ (Hiyappu) is a Water-type Pokémon from Unova, and evolves into Simipour when exposed to a Water Stone. It is a blue monkey with a crest on its head that resembles a geyser, and its muzzle, belly and limbs are cream-colored.

It forms a trio with the similar-looking Pansage and Pansear.

Trivia

Origin

Panpour is a cross between a monkey and a fountain or geyser, and is also likely to be a visual pun on Sea-Monkeys.

Pansage, Pansear and Panpour collectively might be based on the three wise moneys. Panpour itself might represent "see no evil".

Name Origin

Pansage is a combination of Pan, the genus of chimpanzees, and to pour.

The name Hiyappu is a combination of either 冷や hiya (cool water) and ape.
