An Octopod
Species Origin Octarian/Robot
Weapon(s) Themselves
Vulnerable To Ink
First Appearance Splatoon (2015)

Octopods are bottle-shaped, Octarian robots. When they stop an enemy Inkling, they follow them, and leap towards them, and explode in ink on impact, whether actually hitting the Inkling or not.

Octopods mainly consist of a purple, bottle-shaped ink bomb that explodes on impact. This bomb has a face with purple-lighting eye sockets and a small spray-like nozzle. The bomb also has little rocket wings at the bottom.

They also have literally strapped their legs on via a belt: a pair of endoskeleton-like legs, wearing purple sneakers.

  • The face of an Octopod is surprisingly similar to that of a Snifit from the Super Mario series.
