An Octobomber
Species Origin Octocopter
Weapon(s) Ink
Vulnerable To Ink
First Appearance Splatoon (2015)

Octobombers are, like Octocopters, airborne Octarians that patrol sky areas, but instead of shooting slow ink bullets, they instead deploy Ink Bombs when they see enemy Inklings.

There's a bigger variation called the Octostriker, which deploys Inkstrikes when they see an Inkling from their UFOs.

Octobombers are suggested to be subspecies of Octocopters, but looks completely different. Unlike most of their Octarian brethren, Octobombers are colored a dull orange instead of red, are rather bulky, and most remarkably, have at least five tentacles, with two acting as arms. They have a small face with small green eyes and large purple eye bags. Their lips are pink and purple.

Like Octocopters, they wear a metal helmet with a propeller and a large nozzle, for floating and deploying bombs, respectively.
