The Nintendo Aurion, also known as the Aurion, is a tenth-generation home console created and developed by Nintendo. The console was confirmed on the 14th of June 2020 and was release a year later in 2021. The Nintendo Aurion VR Headset was the first commercially successful Nintendo Virtual Reality headset, and the second to be created, after the failed Virtual Boy. Overall the Nintendo Aurion was a commercial success, with critics specifically complimenting the incorporation of the VR Headset, backwards compatibility with the NX, the Wii U, the Wii and the GameCube.
The console itself supports 8K, 4K and 1080p graphics, but also supports all Nintendo console controllers prior to the Gamecube, Blu-Ray discs, amiibo and Bluetooth. Furthermore, many pieces of technology used in the Wii U and NX can be reused, meaning that you can continue using the Wii U sensor, with Wii controllers or you can use the Nintendo NX controllers with the the Aurion. The Aurion's controllers are standard vibration-feedback gamepads, which allows the user to interact with the controller in the classic way that the N64 did. The Aurion is also compatible with the AurionTech, which allows controller-less gameplay, a lot like the XBOX Kinect.
