The Nintendo 3DS is a handheld made by Nintendo. It's the successor to the Nintendo DS series.[1] You do not need any 3D glasses to see the 3DS' 3D effects. It was released in March 2011, after a shaky 1 month earlier release in Japan. The 90% larger 3DS XL was released in Summer 2012 after being revealed on a Nintendo Direct broadcast on June 21, 2012.
