Mother 3 Reborn is the highly anticipated remake of the cult classic, Mother 3 on the Game Boy Advance. The game was confirmed at E3 2015 for the Wii U and was given the release date of December 2015. The game was confirmed to have new extra content to the players, and also adding back cut features from the original game. The game was released on December 8, 2015 for the US and November 28, 2015 for Japan.

The happiness stat, which was cut in the original Mother 3 was added back into the game. Lucas is the only one who has this stat. When ever you heal, or support your team, your happiness stat gets increased. It also gets increased as you use healing items on yourself, rest up, or buy something. If Lucas is the one to take down a enemy, especially a enemy who used to be a living creature that was turned into a robot, or being fainted, you lose happiness. You also lose happiness when later in the game, The Masked Man attacks Lucas. The happiness stat gives a lot of benefits like Lucas being able to learn more PSI attacks, and increasing Lucas's Confidence stat. If you have enough of this stat at the end of the game, you will get a more happier ending then the default ending. However, if you have lower then average happiness at the end of the game, you will be getting a ending that is much sadder, and creepier then the default ending.

The Confidence Stat is a new stat, added to the game. It allows Lucas, Kumatora, Duster, and Boney to have less misses, increase the likelihood of a "SMAAASH!" which now has a rare chance of applying to a offensive PSI attack or a Item Attack, and being able to dodge attacks. It goes down when the characters get themselves "SMAASHED!" (which some ememys can now do) and when they faint.
