The Moon Kingdom is a location set on the moon featured in Super Mario Odyssey. It is the greater location of Honeylune Ridge and appeared as the fourteenth kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey, and the last one in the main story. Its main landmark is a large wedding hall, its Regional Coins are purple Star Bits, and the inhabitants of this kingdom are rabbits wearing top hats. Because the kingdom is set on the moon, there is also low gravity, allowing Mario to jump higher and farther.

Information[]

Role in Super Mario Odyssey[]

The Moon Kingdom is the final area visited in the main story of Super Mario Odyssey. Bowser hosts his wedding with Peach in the wedding hall of Honeylune Ridge. However, Bowser has also infested the interior moon caverns with his minions to stop Mario. When Mario and Cappy put a halt to the wedding before the proceedings can begin, Bowser is fought in his final battle in the center of the moon.

Currency and Crazy Cap Store[]

There are a total of 50 Moon Kingdom Regional Coins SMO Art - Regional Coin (Moon) in the kingdom to collect. They can be exchanged at the Crazy Cap store that is run by the Toad Brigade on their Starshroon spaceship.

Wedding Hall[]

The wedding hall is the landmark of the Moon Kingdom, and is also where Bowser holds his wedding with Peach. According to the brochure, the wedding hall was built in honor of a moon goddess, and was also built specifically to amplify the wedding bell's ring. Weddings held here are always open, so travelers are welcome to join if a wedding is under way.

Residents and Enemies[]

Aside from enemies stationed by Bowser such as Sherms, Parabones, and Chargin' Chucks, the main residents of the Moon Kingdom are small rabbits wearing top hats. These rabbits are similar to MIPS in Super Mario 64, the Rabbits in Super Mario 64 DS, and the Star Bunnies in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
