Maverick: Inferno is a 3D Platformer for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One making it the first game with a next-gen release. The game was released on December 10, 2013 and was developed by Frontier Unlimited. This is the fifth installment in the Maverick series.
Taking place 7 years before the events of Maverick. Maverick was a military robot from the newly-formed Sigma Corporation Military Force. But, a clown called Jackester started building an army of clowns to destroy Sigma City. Maverick was called in by the CEO, Mr. X, the CEO before Mr. Z, to kill Jackester and save Sigma City. But as he got to fight Jackester, Maverick commits genocide by destroying a constructing Sigma Tower and caused him to be de-ranked to a worker for the rest of his legs.
Gameplay is still similar to the series but with new features like new blasters, NPCs, levels, armor, and more. For the first time in the series, you can finally use gun like rifles, machine guns, and more guns while still using blasters.
Uprgradable Weapon system
The weapon system returns where in the game. There are about 30 new weapons like the Laser Blasters, Rifle X, Machine Guns, the Fire Dragon, Twister Cyclone and more.

Maverick: Maverick is a strong, brave, and confident young military robot until he was de-ranked and became a worker for the Corporation.
Jackester: A nasty, dark, mean, and incredibly smart character. He makes dirty jokes during cut-scenes and battles in game. Making him the darkest character in the series.
Mr. X: A nice man who runs the Sigma Corporation. He is the nicer version of Mr. Z from the first game.
Destiny: a bit younger in this game. She navigates Maverick across the city for a few levels until she left to got into the wild.
This is the story mode for the game.
This is when you can battle with players/friends across the world with Xbox Live PSN, and more and can play many different modes like: Time Run, Shoot Em Up, and more. This can be supported through 2-16 Players (Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One) 2-4 Players (Wii U) depending on what modes is it.
This is the mode where you change the gameplay, control format, sound, add cheats, and look at the upgrades you have collected.
