Mario Ultimate Baseball is a confirmed sequel to Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii U. The game supports the Wii and Nunchuk. However, the Tablet can only be used for pitching and fielding, but Nintendo is planning an update that allows the tablet be used for batting. Many features return from the previous game such as the Chemistry, Story Mode and more. This game allows the player to now have specific aim as to where to throw the ball. This game will also feature DLC characters and stadiums.

Gameplay

Mario Ultimate Baseball can be played using three different control methods:

• Wii Remote (vertical)
• Wii Remote (horizontal)
• Wii Remote + Nunchuk controller
• Wii U Tablet (Pitching and Fielding only)

Before a game starts, a roulette will start in order to show which team will be batting first. This feature was taken from the previous game.

Unlocking Criteria

Name	How to Unlock
Bowser Jr,	Complete Mario Stadium, Yoshi's Island and Bowser Jr.'s Playroom's Missions or alternatively, have a WFC record of 500 runs, or have beaten New Super Mario Bros. U.
Toadsworth	Receive at least a Silver in the second-last and final mission of Toad Town.
King K. Rool	Use Donkey Kong to beat King K. Rool in the final mission of Kremling Tropics.
Blooper Nanny	Receive all Gold Medals in every mission in Gelato Shore.
King Boo	Complete King Boo's Graveyard's and Luigi's Mansions with at least a Silver Medal.
