Image Course Name Description
N/A Forest of Illusion The characters race in a maze-like course similar to Yoshi's Valley from Mario Kart 64. The first way leads to an area with several Wigglers trampling in and out of passages from the side of the courses. All of the Wigglers come out at the same time. At the end of that part, there is another path, one going forward, and another which curves and brings you to the other path from the beginning. If you take the straight path, you end up in an underwater area with several Rip Van Fish and Urchins. Then the two paths reunite and enter a castle with a twisted staircase which leads upward, which leads to a cannon which brings the characters back to the starting line for the next lap. If you chose the second path, you enter a ghost house with several Eeries blocking your way. After that, you then go down a long staircase and exit the ghost house. Then, you enter an area with several sharp turns and Lakitus. There is a water part with Blurps which jump out of the water to attack. Then, you enter the castle.
N/A Chocolate Island First, the racers start out in a grassy area filled with Dino-Rhinos and Dino-Torches which charge at the racers. If one hits a racer, it knocks them back a certain distance depending on the size. Then, the racers enter an area with non-enterable water with a Porcu-Puffer which will occasionally jump out at the racers. After that, the grass changes to chocolate-brown and the racers enter a mushroom segment with Fuzzies which move in a set track to attack the racers. Then, the characters go downhill and enter a cave, filled with Mega Moles which charge out of the walls. After that, the racers exit the cave, turn, and then a new lap begins.
N/A Twin Bridges The characters start out on a small area of land, which leads to two bridges. On the first part, there are two platforms above each bridge with a Beach Koopa kicking Koopa Shells at racers on top. Then, after a turn, the course changes to a mountainous grassy segment with Monty Moles that pop out of the ground. The racers go upward up a huge slope and find a Sumo Bro. which throws lightning in different directions. After doing a U-turn around the Sumo Bro., the race goes back downhill and leads to a water segment. The first part consists of several Torpedo Teds which get fired in a way similar to the Bullet Bills on DS Airship Fortress. After that, the player must avoid several Blurps that bump the racers around. Then, the racers exit the water and a new lap starts.
N/A Valley of Bowser The race starts out in a cave with a yellow floor. The racers drive to a platform with yellow blocks which move skyward and downwards continuously. Depending on what area the platform is at, the racers can take two routes, which leads to the same area, with the upper one being faster. The routes lead to a segment with several Mushrooms, which act as platforms instead of a way to make racers fly upwards. Then, they get down from the Mushrooms, turn, and enter a castle. The first room is filled with Hotheads and Li'l Sparkies which crawl around the platforms and spin out anyone who hits them. After turning left, the racers enter a room with Dry Bones which throw bones at the racers, and then turn left again to enter one last room with Bowser Statues which breathe fire at racers. After turning left one more time, the racers exit the castle and go back into the cave.

Image Course Name Description
120px-DelfinosquareDS DS Delfino Square The only changes between the original and MKR are that after that huge ramp, there is a gliding segment, and some buildings can be driven on.
N/A Bianco Hills The race starts out in the Windmill Village. There are several paths in the village, which all lead to the same location, but there aren't too many differences. There is some goop along the path which slows racers down upon touching it, but the goop is in all of the paths, just placed differently. After that, the racers go across a bridge which leads to a grassy area with several Goop Piranha Plants. Then, the racers must travel up a hill which leads to a spiraling windmill. Also, the racers can climb to the top of the windmill using anti-gravity. Once the racers reach the top, they glide back to the starting line.
N/A Ricco Harbor The race starts out in a small portion of the harbor, which leads to a boat, which can be driven on, or an edge which leads to an underwater segment. Both routes lead to water though, as when the racers reach the end of the boat, they have to fall off into the water. Then, they enter the segment which is where the Blooper's Surfing Safari takes place, but the racers can use anti-gravity to ride on the water this time. Then, after exiting the segment, the racers turn and find themselves going up a large staircase which leads to an anti-gravity part with girders. After going across the girders, the racers enter a circular segment with Gooper Blooper in the center, who will try to whack the racers with his arms. After that, the racers go down a girder and back to the harbor, starting a new lap.
N/A Gelato Beach The characters begin the race in a small area filled with Dune Buds. After turning left, the racers enter a short underwater segment. When they exit, they enter the Water Portal which leads to a Sand Bird-shaped bridge. After that, the racers enter another portal and end up on a circular mirror with Cataquacks on it. Then, the racers turn right and enter an underwater segment which takes place in a coral reef. After that segment, the lap is finished.
