Mario Kart: Fiery Engines is a racing game in the Mario Kart series. It is the sequel to the long awaited Mario Kart 8, and was developed by both Havok and Namco Bandai. It was published by Nintendo and released worldwide on March 18, 2015.
So far, it has sold over 8.6 billion copies worldwide, and fans are waiting for the sequel.
Like all games in the Mario Kart series, it will be about racing, as a Mario series game, it will have Mario characters. It will require you to use the Gamepad ,Wii Remote or A Joy-Con Controller as a steering wheel, and will require skill. The game features driving, anti-gravity, submarines, flying, biking, and drilling.
There are 47 playable characters, counting the 2 Mii characters and the DLC characters.
There are 17 default characters, counting Mii 1.
It's-a-him, Mario! He's the full package in the game! It's who it's named after! He's a good driver for the beginning players, with the basic stats of a main character! Overall, try him first!
The second banana. The other brother. It's-a-him, Luigi! He's a pretty good driver with good handling and speed, so like Mario, beginners should use him as well!
She's been around since the first game! It's Princess Peach Toadstool! She's pretty lightweight for a medium weight character, with good acceleration! Watch out for her on the road when you drive!
The Princess of another kingdom with a hard to pronounce name! Hi, it's Daisy! She drives a bit slower than Peach, but handles better than any other medium weight! Overall, yikes and watch out!
Hey, a dinosaur can drive, too. He carried a BABY on his back for awhile. Anyway, it's Yoshi, a friend of Mario's! He has the best drift of any medium, so don't be surprised to see some speed out of his engines!
Birdo! He's a girl! No, she's a boy! He's a...let's just call it an it. It has more speed than Yoshi, but a bad set of acceleration. So, she's a pretty good character to play as.
This mushroom-headed man has left the castle and went to the raceway! He's a really light driver, so his Speed is really good! If you want fast, you got fast!
Now here's a driver who's not afraid to stay out of his shell! Koopa is a great lightweight and has awesome acceleration, so watch the rear-view mirrors, guys!
It's-a-him, Wario! Mario's greedy rival has entered the race with Waluigi! He has low speed. but his handling, like his bro, is the BOMB!! No pun intended.
Waa! Everyone expected-a Waluigi! This lanky guy is Wario's partner and Luigi's rival! He has great handling and pretty good speed, so watch the roads, Mario!
Even the classic King Of The Koopa Clan has got into kart racing! His speed is pretty bad, but he makes up for it in handling! Mario, be warned! He's not a push-over!
Bowser Jr. is Bowser's biological son, and a pretty good lightweight! His speed is...meh, but his acceleration is amazing! Mario, Bowser ain't the only threat in town!
Hailing from DK Island, it's DK! Donkey Kong! He's a pretty big heavyweight, but his handling is pretty good. Mario, don't make him go ape on you!
DK's little buddy, and a speedy one at that. He has great speed, and acceleration is actually pretty darn decent! He's a driver to watch out for!
Both Pianta and Noki hail from Delfino Isle, and have first appeared in racing games here! He has bad speed but makes up for it in handling!
A lightweight driver, Noki is Pianta's friend, and it's her first time racing! She has good handling and speed, so don't be surprised to see her in front of you!
However you make your first Mii, you can get different stats. He could have bad handling but good accelerations! The combinations are endless!
There are 20 unlockable characters.
How To Unlock
The baby version of the famous plumber arrives on the scene! He's a pretty decent lightweight, so speed is his strongpoint. This blast from the past better be up to date with Mario!
Beat the Mushroom Cup on 50cc with Mario.
Luigi's younger form. Remember when Kamek kidnapped him? Anyways, he has pretty good handling and decent speed! Watch out for "Baby Weegee!"
Beat the Flower Cup on 50cc with Luigi.
A newcomer to the series, Motley has split up the competition! He has decent acceleration, but not very good handling! But even with that flaw, he's still fun to play as!
Play on the 100cc Star Cup with Bowser.
One of the seven Sprixie Princesses, this one sports the green colors! She's extremly lightweight, so her acceleration and speed are excellent! Mario better watch out for her this time!
Play the Special Cup with Peach on 100cc.
Yet ANOTHER baby! Baby Peach brings more baby power to the race! She has extremly good speed and decent handling, while her baby friend is the opposite! It'll be peachy playing as her!
Race 16 Time Trials.
Baby Daisy, as her name states, is the baby counterpart of Daisy! She has good handling and decent speed, while her baby friend is the opposite! It's smooth roads with her!
Race 32 Time Trials.
The normal Koopa, excepted...ZOMBIFIED!! Dry Bones is pretty decent racer, with great acceleration. Dry Bones, overall, is a good choice for neutral players.
Race on Boo Hotel in Time Trials 10 times.
After being an item for so long, Boo arrives behind the wheel! He has excellent handling, while acceleration is another story! He's a great edition to the game!
Race on Dry Bone's Catacombs in Time Trials 10 times.
The long-awaited racer finally makes it in the game! She's pretty lightweight, but her handling is pretty mixed. Other than that, she's a pretty good edition to the game!
Beat the 100cc Banana Cup twice.
The protector of the cosmos, and the more common character in the game. She's a bit heavier than Peach, but has good accelerations! Go, Star Power!
Beat 150cc Crown Cup 2 times/have Super Mario Galaxy 2 save file.
After waiting since Mario Kart Wii, Hammer Bro. finally gets in! He has good speed, but low acceleration! He can create tension between the lead racer and himself, so watch out!
Race on 50cc Shell Cup 1 time.
The Dumbledore of Koopa Troopa's appears! He has low speed, but great acceleration! Overall, his appearance will put a curse on you! (Not really.)
Race on Scepter Cup on 100cc mode.
Bowser's skeletal form, and a chilling edition to the game! He's low on speed, but handling is amazing! Better not be afraid, Mario!
Play as Dry Bones on Time Trials 10 times.
The King of The Boos and Luigi's arch nemisis! He's has better speed than Dry Bowser, but worse handling! Luigi better not be scared of ghosts!
Play as Boo on Time Trials 10 times.
An evolved form of Wiggler, and a flying fury! He has great speed for a heavyweight, but low acceleration! Overall, Flutter is an awesome new edition to the game!
Play as Wiggler in the 150cc Flower Cup.
A veteran from Mario Kart 7, and a heavyweight! He has low speed, but good acceleration on the track! Watch out for the leaf eater!
Complete 100cc Lightning Cup.
A veteran from Mario Kart 7, he and his buddies are back on the tracks! He has good speed and decent handling. He's not so shy anymore!
Play as Koopa in Egg Cup on 50cc.
A guy with his head in the clouds, Lakitu returns with Shy Guy! He has good handling and decent speed. Lakitu will be a great challenge for other players!
Play as Toad in Cloud Cup on 50cc.
A more welcome edition to the game, Nabbit is back in another game! He has decent all around stats, much like Mario. All the others gotta be careful with him around!
Use the Nabbit Bag 10 times.
After his long absence, the diaper-wearing piranha is back! He has low speed, but makes up for it in acceleration! Overall, it seems Petey has been training over the years...
Use the Piranha Plant item in races 15 times.
There are 10 DLC characters, counting Mii 2.
The metallic version of Mario has returned to the tracks! He has low speed, but good acceleration to make up for that problem! Overall, he's a heavyweight character to look out for!
Yellow Gold Lakitu
The newest edition in the "Metal" series, it's Lakitu's clone! He has bad acceleration, but his handling is pretty good! Overall, he may be a clone, but he has gold yellow power!!
Rosalina's partner has become a playable racer now! It has the best speed than any other character in the game, and his handling is pretty good! Luma is done being Rosalina's partner and he's ready to race!
For a limited time only, with the release of Hyrule Warriors, people could get Link! He has good acceleration, and pretty decent speed. Overall, Link is ready to take on that porky plumber!
The baby version of everyone's favorite ape is here! He has great speed and acceleration, but his handling is another story! Other than that, the new edition to baby catergory is pretty ape-crazy!
The girl version of Toad, first appearing in Double Dash! She has good acceleration, and her handling is pretty good for what it is. She's a great edition to the racing roster!
He's alway been a track hazard, but now Monty Mole has gone behind the wheel! He drives pretty well with decent acceleration, so that's good! Seems he'll knock Mario out of the track with his power!
Can you believes he's only appeared NOW? Major Burrows has gone for galaxies to racetracks, and he has great handling to go with it! Must be all the mining he does...maybe!
First appearing in Super Mario Bros. 3, Boom Boom finally gets his hands on a kart! He has good speed for a heavyweight, so that's an advantage! This shocking new edition will get Mario yet!
Like the other Mii, however the Mii drives is up to the creator! However, it comes with a cool Luigi costume to go with it, so that's cool!
