Mario Kart: Country Crossroad (also known as Mario Kart: Cruisering Countries) is a Mario Kart game and is the ninth installment of the whole series. This game features new mechanics, new stages around each country, new items and new modes. They are also stuffed toys that are used to receive new karts and coins when they are sold.

Gameplay

Grand Prix

The Grand Prix feature returns from the later installments. In this mode, you can choose either 50cc, 100cc or 150cc. Each cc course has different difficulty levels. After choosing a character and cup, you must race all the courses in the cup to earn points. The one with the most points wins. If you place first to third place, you will earn either a gold, silver or bronze trophy. If you place fourth or lower place, you won't win a trophy, however if you placed fourth you will get a different reaction. If you placed fifth or lower, you'll get the Game Over screen where it shows the player driving away from the ceremony along with the other racers that placed a lower score than you. Then a few Bob-Ombs appear and explode of the racers, sending them flying. Then the words in red-orange "GAME OVER" or "TRY AGAIN" appear on the screen and the character's upset voice can be heard. If you beat all the different CCs and different cups, you'll unlock the Mirror race where you play all the Cups' courses in a reserved way.
