Mario & Luigi: Dark Age is a game for the Nintendo 3DS that was released on December 12th, 2018. It is the fifth game in the Mario & Luigi series. It contains many of the villains from previous Mario & Luigi games. It began what Nintendo called their "new age of [its] video games" and the Multivort Arc, which caused many of Nintendo's games on Multivort and to some extent Dimensio.

Story[]
The game begins in Nightmare Ruins (Dreamy Neo Bowser Castle from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team). A portal opens, out of which comes a strange computer called Multivort. It begins a search after which it finds three unconscious beings, Dimensio, Fawful, and Antasma. It gives them a shock waking them all up. After a brief introduction, Multivort reveals his mission, to explore as much of the multiverse as possible. The trio reveal their fights with the Mario Bros. and Bowser, and Multivort decides that Mario & Luigi would be an interesting foe, and that Bowser is the perfect weapon against them, if used properly.
