Lloyd Irving is the main playable character in Tales of Symphonia and its sequel Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World; and is arguably the mascot for the Tales franchise. Lloyd is a young man who wishes deeply for a unified peace obtained without sacrifices. He is the adopted son of a dwarf named Dirk, and is sometimes mocked for this. Lloyd helps the seventh Chosen of Regeneration - Colette Brunel - in her quest, despite not playing a part in the prophecy that surrounds her.
Lloyd is set to appear as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Clash. He is one of six newcomers in the game, alongside Dixie Kong, Miles "Tails" Prower, Toad, Knuckles the Echidna, and the then-newcomer Mega Man.
Prior to it's cancellation, Lloyd was set to appear in Super Smash Bros. Revolution. He was based around being a fast character with slower, powerful attacks from his two swords.
