LEGO Racers 3 is a racing game for 8th and 9th generation platforms, Produced by LEGO and TT Games, and Published by Super Leaf Studios. It is the Sequel to 2001's LEGO Racers 2, released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2 and PC. It was announced at a Super Leaf Direct in May 2016, with a release date of September 27, 2016, the 15th anniversary of LEGO Racers 2.


LEGO Racers 3's Gameplay is similar to that of the first LEGO Racers Merged with that of Mario Kart 8. There are 8 racers, Unlike the original's six. there are different types of Bricks that give you different types of abilities. However, unlike the original, where powerups would be fixed and could get better if you collected white bricks, they are random, like in Mario Kart, but still categorized. They are as follows:

  • Red Bricks - Projectiles
  • Blue Bricks - Shields
  • Green Bricks - Speed Boosts
  • Yellow Bricks - Hazards
  • (New) Orange Bricks - Other Abilities

Characters in LEGO Racers 3 are selected before starting a Circuit/Cup, much like in Mario Kart.
