Kirby: Star Legends is an upcoming game for the Nintendo Wii in Quarter 4, 2009. It is said to star Kirby and his Amazing Mirror duplicates (plus four more) to bring peace back to a shattered and undiscovered galaxy. This is the first game in the Kirby series to feature truly 3-D gameplay, much like Mario's 3-D console games. The trademark feature of the 2000 game Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, the broad mixing system, makes a return, and has been vastly improved and expanded on, courtesy of the largest count of Kirby copy abilities ever in a Kirby game.
While riding his Warp Star one fateful night, Kirby soon finds a new galaxy. But this galaxy is cursed-- unless the Legendary Star can be summoned by he who enters, it will shatter. Oblivious to this fact, Kirbys' entrance destroys the newfound galaxy. But if someone can split him once more, a team of Kirbys may be able to find this Legendary Star. Kirby goes back to his home planet to ask Meta Knight to split him once more, and he does so. This time, he is split into seven, in the respective colors: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, and Black. The new team is soon named the Comet Rangers, and the gang must find this star and bring back the galaxy.
- Team members have their own special techniques. They can be switched around (much like The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords) for new formations to complete puzzles and fight off swarms of enemies.
- The game (although not the gameplay) is much like Milky Way Wishes from Kirby Super Star. Marx makes a return in Demon Marx form.
- Cell Phones are not present in this game, since your friends will never leave your side in the galaxy.
- Wi-Fi compatible. HP and MP systems from standard RPGs/MMORPGs are also in the game.
