Jack Levin is an F-Zero pilot in the F-Zero series. He pilots the Astro Robin.
Jack Levin is a worldwide entertainment phenomenon known for his unmatched singing and dancing talents, having started out as a member of a pop group and then branching off on his own after his popularity became too great. Even though Jack grew up in poverty and was watched over by his single, ailing mother, he somehow managed to survive such a harsh lifestyle and make a true name for himself in the vast media spectrum. After a good amount of time in the light of fame and glory, the F-Zero committee took his mighty public appeal and obvious athletic abilities and put him into consideration as a worthy addition to the Grand Prix circuit. Jack himself agreed without hesitation, seeing it as a wonderful way to build more hype and publicity around himself. And a wise decision this was, because not only did it increase Jack's overall popularity two-fold, but the same effect rubbed off on the sport of F-Zero itself. The many companies which sponsor Jack collaborated to build him the Astro Robin and he was all set for the Grand Prix from there. Despite the immense attention and respect he receives from his fans, Jack isn't at all seen in a good light by his fellow pilots, as they see him as a horribly shallow glory-hog with absolutely no true love for what really goes into the art of F-Zero racing.
Jack Levin makes several cameos in Universe. He appears as one of the racers seen on Mute City Serial Gaps, and he also appears as a collectable trophy along with the Astro Robin. In additon, one of Rick Wheeler's palette swaps is a reference to Jack Levin's color scheme.
Jack Levin will make a return to the F-Zero franchise in F-Zero U. Like all other returning pilots from GX/AX, Jack Levin is 10 years older, making him 29 years old in this installment of F-Zero. His machine, the Astro Robin has been buffed to feature an improved booster.
