Final Smash Great Aether/Sol Wave

Ike makes his third appearance as a playable character to the Super Smash Bros. franchise in Super 5mash Bros. 5. Much like in previous installments, Ike utilizes powerful sword attacks that deliver high damage at the cost of speed. Ike is a rather slow character with some high defenses which helps him weather attacks. He retains his Hero style from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

Special Custom Set A

Name Damage Description
Neutral Special Eruption 10% (uncharged), 35%/28%/26% (fully charged bottom/middle/top) Ike charges Ragnell before thrusting it in the ground, creating a pillar of blue fire. If fully charged, Ike receives 10% recoil damage. The uncharged tip of the blade can meteor smash. High vertical range which increases as the move charges.
Custom 1 Tempest 1% (uncharged), 8% (ground fully charged), 14% (air fully charged) Instead of fire, Ike generates a vortex of air around him, generating a windbox that pushes enemies away.
Custom 2 Furious Eruption 7% (uncharged), 27%/20% (ground fully charged bottom/top), 32%/25% (air fully charged bottom/top) 7% (uncharged), 27%/20% (ground fully charged bottom/top), 32%/25% (air fully charged bottom/top)
Side Special Quick Draw 6% uncharged, 13% charged Ike charges, and rushes forward upon releasing. If Ike comes into contact with another fighter, he slashes in a similar way to that of the forward tilt. Charge can be held indefinitely. If Ike does not hit, the move has long ending lag. Failing to hit while airborne causes Ike to become helpless.
Custom 1 Close Combat 4% uncharged and fully charged, 7% fully charged (far) Ike hits and dashes through fighters rather than slashing the first object he comes in contact with. Deals less damage and damaged fighters are launched upwards.
Custom 2 Unyielding Blade 7% uncharged, 19% fully charged Ike has super armor for the duration of the charge and the lunge but both range and the speed are shorter.
Up Special Aether 6% (hit 1 clean), 4% (hit 1 late), 1% (hit 2), 3% (descent), 6% (landing) Ike throws Ragnell upward, launching nearby fighters in the air. Ragnell spins in place, dealing several hits and trapping foes. Then Ike jumps up and grabs Ragnell, followed by a downward slam. Ike has super armor for most of the move's duration. It offers poor horizontal recovery, but good vertical distance.
Custom 1 Aether Dive 9% (hit 1 clean), 6% (hit 1 late), 1% (hit 2), 5% (descent), 9% (landing) Ike can throw his sword much further, but not as high. This moves offers much greater horizontal recovery at the cost of some vertical recovery.
Custom 2 Aether Wave 6% (hit 1 clean), 4% (hit 1 late), 1% (hit 2), 3% (descent), 10%/8%/6%/4% (landing) Releases a wave when Ike slams the ground, but the entire attack deals less damage overall. The entire attack animation is also significantly sped up with little trapping potential.
Down Special Counter 1.2x damage of countered attacks, 10% minimum Ike holds up Ragnell. If Ike is hit shortly after the move begins, he strikes back.
Custom 1 Paralyzing Counter 1% (base) Ike's counter stuns the opponent, allowing for a follow up attack.
Custom 2 Smash Counter 9% (base) Roughly 1.5x damage of countered attacks, 15% minimum When the Counter is triggered, Ike will perform a counterattack after a delay rather than instantly, but the attack deals more damage and has a larger hitbox.

Special Custom Set B

Name Damage Description
Neutral Special Inferno Slash 8& (initial), 12% (slash), 18% (impact) Ike jumps forward into the air, takes his sword, and heaves it downwards; slamming it into the ground. It does an explosive effect and sends opponents flying into the air. It also has some horizontal recovery distance added to the attack. The explosive effect will not damage Ike and does very good damage and knock back when it connects.
Custom 1 Dashing Slash 5& (initial), 10% (slash), 13% (impact) It does less damage overall but it propels Ike further forward with a dashing animation at the start and a sliding animation at the end. It deals less knockback and has a smaller radius of damage.
Custom 2 Powered Up Slash 12& (initial), 18% (slash), 27% (impact) (charged), 8& (initial), 14% (slash), 10% (impact) Ike can charge the attack and release it. Charging it the most sends him further and deals more damage at the cost of lagging at the end.
Side Special Shockwave 6% (per hit) Ike slams his sword forward which produces shockwaves that causes a burst of energy, The attack can be charged to maximize the number of hits and lengthen it. Each shockwave burst knocks opponents upwards.
Custom 1 Shockwave Launch 4%, 6% The attack pushes opponents along followed by a final hit that does knockback if all of the attacks connect.
Custom 2 Meteoring Shockwave 7% The shockwave will meteor the opponent, knocking them downwards instead of upwards. It will bury an opponent for a very short time if they are on the ground. It has less of a reach than a default and cannot be charged.
Up Special Fire Fang 4% (loop) Ike spirals straight upwards while slashing his sword and pinning. During this attack, he is enveloped in a blue fire and will deal damage looped. It will then launch opponents at the final hit.
Custom 1 Vacuuming Fang 2.4% (loop) It has a vacuum effect which pulls opponents into the looping animation. It has more vertical recovery distance than the default.
Custom 2 Violent Fire Fang 14% (clean), 8% (late) The attack will launch the opponent upon contact if the attack is clean. It has slightly less recovery distance than the default but it is faster.
Down Special Luna 0% Ike slams his sword into the ground and kneels down while holding it. While he is vulnerable to melee attacks, he absorbs projectiles and converts it to health; dealing him for every attack. If in the air, he will slam down onto the ground.
Custom 1 Unjust Luna 8% It acts much like the default though slamming the sword down will deal damage to the opponent. It will heal slower than the default as a result.
Custom 2 Forceful Luna 0% The attack will repel any opponent by generating winds from all sides. However, they grow weak quickly within time.

Final Smash

Name Damage Description
Final Smash 1 Great Aether 5% (hit 1), 2% (hits 2-14), 5% (hit 15), 4% (hit 16), 10% (hit 17) Ike performs a fiery uppercut with Ragnell. If he catches anyone, Ike throws his blade into the air along with the opponents, jumps after them, catches Ragnell, and unleashes a devastating combo of slashes and kicks before driving them down to the ground. The impact creates a massive explosion which launches the victims and any bystanders towards the upper blast line.
Final Smash 2 Sol Wave 3.3% (loop), 8% (final) Ike powers up a massive energy attack through his sword and unleashes it where he stands, sending a huge wave of blue fire that bursts down from the ground around his sword. The flame grows so large that it encompasses Ike until the very end with it reaches its maximum height. This will launch any opponents caught within the loop.

Taunts

  • Charges up his sword as wind blows into his cape, grunting loudly. (Up)
  • Holds out his sword and says "Prepare yourself!" (Right)
  • Takes his sword and slams the hilt portion along with his fist against his chest and says "I will fight to the end." (Right)
  • Slams his sword into the ground and grunts, before removing it. Also, wind blows into his cape. (Down)

Character Selection Screen

  • Ike grabs his sword and sings it goes "HOOOYAHH!"
  • Ike holds out his sword while his cape blows and says "Steal thy self.
  • Ike runs his hand alogn th eblade and says "Prepare for the pain!"

On Screen Appearance

  • Appears via Warp Magic and swings his sword in front of him.
  • Rides in on a white horse. The horse rears up and Ike jumps off.
  • His sword, Radnell spins in the air. Ike appears, catches it, and strikes down with it. He then enters into his fighting stance.

Victory Animations

  • Forcefully plants his sword into the ground, then folds his arms, saying "You'll get no sympathy from me."
  • Slashes his sword twice, saying "I fight for my friends."
  • Performs Aether while facing the screen.
  • Engulfs his sword in fire and says "Try me.
  • Sheathes his sword and turns his back to the screen while folding his arms and saying "Try again next time."
  • Holds up his sword and then slashes down torward the camera. He then says "Scared yet?""

Losing Animation

  • Ike, having sheathed his sword, claps.
  • Holds his forehead in his hands and shakes it.
  • Grits his teeth while pounding his fists together.

Trophies

Ike's trophies can be earned by completing Classic Mode, Adventure Mode, All-Star Mode, and Boss Battle mode. In addition, further trophies can be found during matches and at the Trophy Shop.
