Humans are a bipedal primate species, endemic to and dominant on Earth. Humans can learn to invent and use sophisticated tools compared to other Earth species. They have developed languages, thousands of which are used around the world, and can engineer modes of communication as abstract tools. Humans are generally social. They form groups and complex, ritualistic cultures that may collaborate or compete. They enjoy creating, experiencing, and being inspired by works of entertainment, such as the fictional game ideas on Fantendo.
Many humans enjoy stories that they can relate to, and therefore advise each other to write what they know. As a result, much of their fiction is based around human characters, who may still have superhuman abilities. Human characters are not ubiquitous for various cultural and creative reasons. Regardless, humans innately tend to depict other sentient characters with humanlike physical, mental, and social properties, which is termed anthropomorphism.
Human characters appear in various Nintendo and Fantendo series, and exist in their associated fictional worlds. Their designs and proportions vary wildly based on artstyle, such as featuring differing levels of realism.
Mario franchise[]
Many of the main and supporting characters in the Mario franchise are cartoonishly stylized humans, including in the Donkey Kong, Super Mario, Yoshi, Wario, and spinoff series.
A 1993 Nintendo character guide classifies Mario as the fictional species homo nintendonus. New Donk City's inhabitants are called New Donkers, and the majority are designed as realistic humans that contrast in style with Mario, Pauline, Princess Peach, and Luigi.
In the Super Mario series, humans inhabit the Mushroom Kingdom, seven lands of the Mushroom World, Sarasaland, and the Metro Kingdom. Each of these kingdoms is ruled by a human, yet all but the known Metro Kingdom are mainly populated by other species such as Toads. Rosalina lives on the Comet Observatory and watches over outer space. In the WarioWare series, humans inhabit Diamond City and Luxeville.
According to the Yoshi platforming games, storks deliver human infants to their parents.
The Mushroom World kings' magic wands, and possibly some power-ups can turn humans into various other species. Conversely, Yoshi and Toadette can transform into humans with the Mario Cap and Super Crown, respectively.

The Legend of Zelda series[]
In The Legend of Zelda series, humans are sometimes present in Hyrule. They inhabit the Ordona Province; Hytopia, where they are called Hytopians; and, after the Great Flood, some islands in the Great Sea and later New Hyrule. They are also found in unrelated worlds, such as Koholint Island, Labrynna, Holodrum, and the World of the Ocean King.
The term human is often used to refer to Hylians, Gerudos, and humanoid species or mortals as a whole. True humans are distinguished by their round ears, and have a much smaller presence than the aforementioned species.

Metroid series[]
Humans have a notable involvement in the Metroid series, in which they appear to inhabit several planets. Samus Aran was originally a member of a tribe which had migrated somewhere else when her entire group including her parents were killed by Ridley. Samus is the only important human seen in the series although it should be noted that much of the galactic federation are human.

Kirby series[]
Humans are very rare in the Kirby series, due to a massive disaster that befell their planet centuries in the past. Most humans are concentrated into a loose alliance for survival on the eastern landmass of the Shiver Star, although evidence suggests that some were able to escape to other planets. The humans on the Shiver Star are very diverse, with their own unique culture, abilities, and appearance.
Pokémon franchise[]
In the Pokémon franchise, humans are the dominant species of the Pokémon world, and certain extradimensional worlds thousands of light-years away in Ultra Space. They typically tame and live in harmony with Pokémon, although they vary wildly in morality, and many human characters aim to disrupt this balance.
Pokémon Trainers are humans who raise Pokémon and train them in battle, typically catching them in Poké Balls. This is not a universal practice, much less multiversal. For example, in the Ultra Forest dimension, Ultra Forest Kartenvoys battle with Kartana that are not contained in Poké Balls.
The core series of Pokémon games features many regions, with most infrastructure planned and technology created by humans. Ancient human legends of Pokémon tend to be relevant to these regions' cultures and current events. Known regions include Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh (formerly named Hisui), Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea.
Outside of this series, humans inhabit other regions including Orre, Fiore, Almia, Oblivia, Holon, Ransei, Ferrum, and Lental. Notably, the world of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series is absent of humans, and instead mainly populated by Pokémon.

Mother series[]
In the Mother or EarthBound series, most of the playable characters are human children with psychic powers, with many of the side characters also being humans.
Fire Emblem series[]
There are only two dominant races in the Fire Emblem world which are the humans sometimes called Beorc and the shapeshifters sometimes called Laguz, Manakete or Mamkute. The humans are the dominant species and they fight using swords, axes, lances and arrows they also seem to have an understanding of magic which they can use.
Animal Crossing series[]
As the Animal Crossing series is populated by anthropomorphic animals, all humans who are physically shown represent players' characters. There are two human characters in the film Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori, named Ai and Yū, who fill the same role.
The player character's unseen parents, who occasionally send letters, are presumably also humans.
Xenoblade Chronicles series[]
The Xenoblade Chronicles equivalent to humans is named the Homs. They are extremely similar to humans, but require Ether to survive. They are indigenous to colonies at the base of the Bionis.
Splatoon series[]
In the Splatoon series, humans are presumed to be extinct, as wars, climate change, and rising sea levels were deleterious to the population. Mollusc Era species, such as Inklings and Octolings, discover, reverse-engineer, and live inside surviving human artifacts. Human fossils are stated to be found everywhere, and are recurrently depicted in the games.

They have the same common hobbies as Earth Humans but are more responsible on technology and environment. Most of Meta-Form games take place on this planet.
There's no notable humans in Meta-Form series yet.
Petverse humans[]
In the Petverse of Johnny Dog, humans are quite a rare species. In this universe, animals are the dominant species and humans are rare, but still exist. The only notable human in the series is, Doctor Meanstien, the main villain of the series.
Controverse humans[]
Humans exist in the Controverse, though they are different, as their races are different. Some people have Gray skintones, for example such as the Arkanians. They are dominant, and the only intelligent species on the planet, just as it is on Earth. Here are some other examples of races in the Controverse:
- Blue - The natives of Krobia have a light blue skintone.
- Gray - Almost all of the population of Arkany has a gray skintone.
