Gravity Falls: Undersea Expedition is a 2.5D platformer for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PSVita, and PC. It's based on the popular Disney Channel series Gravity Falls and is the sequel to Gravity Falls: Frostbitten Tales. Both games are developed by DreamRift and GalaxySoft Inc and published by Disney Interactive Studios. The game is set for release in the summer of 2015.
The game takes place a year after the original, and features new features including power-ups and Speed Races (a mode where players must take on several rivals to win the championship title). A port of the game for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS has been planned, and it will feature Robbie as an exclusive character.
One year after his defeat, Gideon Gleeful arrives at the ruins of Gleef-Ul Co. and summons Bill Cipher, his trusted partner. The two work together to make a new weapon powered by water so Gravity Falls will be begging to see Gideon again. Mermando gets word of this and heads for Lake Gravity Falls. It's up to him and the Pines Twins (with the help of Soos, Grunkle Stan and Wendy) to save Gravity Falls from certain doom.
There are 6 characters, including the new characters Soos and Mermando. Each character has their own advantage and disadvantage, which can be seen in their stats. Each stat is ranked a number out of 5 (5 being the best).
|Dipper Pines||Dipper Pines is always ready for adventure and mystery solving. His stats are mostly balanced, and his weak point is his strength. Dipper's new weapon is a leaf blower, a reference to the first episode of Gravity Falls.||
Weapon: Leaf Blower
Weapon Upgrade 1: Hot Rod Blower
Weapon Upgrade 2: Tree Blower
|Mabel Pines||Mabel Pines, Dipper's sister, has returned for another adventure! Some Smile Dip helps her jumps become higher than ever. Mabel's weapon of choice is her bedazzler.||
Weapon Upgrade 1: Double Bedazzler
Weapon Upgrade 2: Party Cannon
|Wendy||Competitive spirit shows when Wendy shows up. Her strength is better than that of the Pines Twins, but her weapon (a pair of headphones) is some what weak. Wendy's always ready to help out the Pines twins.||
Weapon Upgrade 1: Axe-phones
Weapon Upgrade 2: Boomer-axe
The lovable manchild of the Mystery Shack is a playable character for the first time in the series! Soos is overweight but always ready to work or fight; fight more than work. He has the lowest jump in the game, so he's got to use a Ninja Suit to get better. His weapon is a Question Mark Cannon, a nod to the Dreamscrapers episode of Gravity Falls Season 1.
Weapon: Question Mark Cannon
Weapon Upgrade 1: Beat Blaster
Weapon Upgrade 2: Disco Destructor
|Grunkle Stan||When he's not fooling tourists, Stan Pines is helping out his employees and nephews in fights. He may be old, but he's the strongest of the group. Stan's weapon is a damaged baseball bat first seen in Scary-oke.||
Weapon: Zombie Slammer
Weapon Upgrade 1: Spiked Bat
Weapon Upgrade 2: Lucky Bat
|Mermando||Mermando is the merman boyfriend of Mabel. He was the one who first learned of Gideon's scheme. He's also the fastest character and has a live shark for a weapon.||
Weapon: Shark Star
Weapon Upgrade 1: Hammerhead Hammer
Weapon Upgrade 2: Barracuda Basher
In this game, there are 10 areas in total with 2 secret areas and 8 normal areas. Each of them has a different theme, and they are all unique. Every area (minus Retro Dimension and Mysterious Bunker) has 8 levels, including a boss.
Area 1: Lakeside Ride
Lakeside Ride is the first area in the game, and is located near Lake Gravity Falls. The area boss is Manly Dan, and upon defeating him you unlock Wendy as a playable character.

Mysterious Bunker is the second hidden area in the game, and it takes place in the author's bunker. Unlike other areas, it's only got 3 levels and it's boss is the shapeshifter seen in "Into the Bunker".
Power-ups are introduced in Gravity Falls: Undersea Expedition, along with collectibles returning from the first one.
|Stan Bucks||Stan Bucks are like the coins of this game. They are found in every area's levels, minus some of the challenge levels.||When 100 are collected, you get an extra health bar. They can also be used at McGucket's Weapons and Wares as currency.|
|Plastic Skulls||These cheap plastic skulls are actually the best collectible to find. They are found in every stage, but are incredibly rare.||Plastic Skulls unlock challenge levels and can be converted into 1,000 Stan Bucks at McGucket's Weapons and Wares.|
|Journal Pages||Some journal pages from books 1, 2, and 3 have fallen out. These are found in some levels, but not all of them.||Journal Pages can be used to add on to your bestiary and biography section of the journal. Once you collect all of the ones from Books 1 and 2, the Mysterious Bunker area opens. The Book 3 pages open the Retro Dimension area.|
|Crystal||Crystals are similar to Mushrooms from the Super Mario series. They can be found in chests all over the level.||Adds an extra heart to the life meter.|
|Super Seaweed||Super Seaweed is similar to the Frog Suit power-up, but not as cool. It turns the character that gets it into a water creature (a human in Mermando's case).||Turns the character into a mer-person; mostly found in underwater levels.|
|Smile Dip Packet||Smile Dip Packets are some of the rarest powerups to get your hands on. They can only be found in 10 levels, including the first level of Smile Dip Trip.||Causes the background to go crazy because of the Smile Dip and grants the player invincibility from about everything.|
|Clone Chocolate||Mmmm...chocolate. This chocolate, however, adds a clone of you into the game. Imagine one million Mabels!||Creates a clone of the playable character you chose.|
|Ninja Suit||Ninja Suits are an original power-up that boost stats in every way possible. They are most useful for Soos.||Allows the player to throw shruikens and boosts all of their stats to the max.|
