Gooey is the rather obscure secondary protagonist of the Kirby's Dream Land trilogy and represents Kirby's animal friends.As the Animal Friends can be ridden to give copy abilites a varying effect in the Kirby seires, Gooey summons animal friends for all of his attacks to use certain ability combinations. Gooey seems to draw the animal helpers out of nowhere when summoned to give them a colored pencil style that is a direct homage to Kirby's Dream Land 3.
Combo: Gooey summons pitch who uses his to peck thrice, a refrence to his needle combo.
Dash: Rick appears under Gooey and turns into a rolling bolder for Gooey to run on, a reference to his stone combo.
Ledge: Chuchu uses her Cutter combo to be turned into a blade which is swung onto anyone near the edge.
Side Tilt: Kine uses his Spark combo to spit a lightbulb which shatters, does electrical damage.
Side Smash: Pitch upon using his Stone combo becomes heavy and tackles.
Up Tilt: Rick balances Gooey on a parasol with the namesake ability.
Up Smash: Nago hoists Gooey up who launches a strange beam like cutter, has long range but is actually diagnol
Down Tilt: Nago usign his parasol as a pogo stick, preforms a quick jump.
Down Smash: Gooey and ChuChu spin around in a parasol racking up large damage and them flingign players out of the fray. Notably ChuChu has a look of disgust on her face opposed of when she uses the attack with Kirby.
