Goodra, known in Japan as ヌメルゴン (Numelgon), is a friendly, pseudo-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon, hailing from Kalos. Goodra evolves from Sliggoo at level 50 while it's raining in-battle by natural conditions, it's the final evolution of Goomy.

Goodra is a chubby, bipedal draconic Pokémon that appears to be goo-like. Its slimy, viscous body is mostly lilac-colored with a deep mauve underbelly. It has forest green eyes, as well as four spots on its head and six spots on its tail, all about the same size and in the same color. Its tail starts thick, but its tip, which curved inwards, is thin. Goodra has two sets of antennae: the front pair is quite small, but the other pair, which are known as its horns, are enormous, as well as retractable. Goodra's legs are also quite thick, despite the feet that supports them are quite tiny. A slimy green mucus seems to droop off of Goodra's chin and wrists as well.

Goodra is one of the most friendly Pokémon out there. It is also extremely slimy, as it leave its beloved trainer in sticky slime after hugging them. It uses its retractable horns offensively, using them to throw punches with the power equivalent of that of a hundred pro boxers.

  • Goodra is the only pseudo-legendary Pokémon that requires another condition aside from leveling up for its pre-evolution to evolve.

Goodra and its brethren may be based on the Fench mythological beast Lou Carcolh, a mollusk serpent, due to it being related to dragons and slugs. It could also be based on other soft-bodied gastropods, like slugs or nudibranches, but also particularly on the Glaucus atlanticus, aka the blue dragon. The fact that its horns are retractable may be based on slugs being able to retract their eyes for protection.

It could also be based on the Japanese yōkai known as the Shussebora. The Shussebora is a trumpet shell snail that turns into a dragon after living one thousand years in the mountains, one thousand years on the plains and one thousand years in the sea. Coincidentally, Goomy, Sliggoo and Goodra are in the Mountain Kalos Dex.
