Fruity Speedway 64 is a Nintendo 64 game developed by Toucan and published by Nintendo in 2001. It's the third game in the Fruity Speedway series. This is Toucan's last game on the Nintendo 64. This game features 32 tracks and 8 battle arenas with a lot of voice acting for the characters as well as realistic lighting effects and dynamic shadowing, making Fruity Speedway 64 one of the most technically advanced games of its time.

GameplayEdit

Fruity Speedway 64 plays like most kart racers, you can race around the track and collect powerups to get an advantage. The game can be played with 1 to 4 players. Various gimmicks on the track can help or hinder the racers.

ModesEdit

Grand Prix - The main mode of the game where most stuff is unlocked. Race through 4 tracks to earn points, the racer with the most points wins the gold trophy. Place 1st in all four races to win the platinum trophy. This mode can be played with 1 or 2 players.

• Ameture - Easy CPU racers
• Intermediate - Medium CPU racers
• Professional - Hard CPU racers
• Master - Locked - Very hard CPU racers, Tracks will be mirrored

VS. - In this mode you can race by yourself or with 4 people. There are many settings to choose from.

• Mode - In Laps, the players must go around the course a certain amount of times to win. In Time, the player who completed the most laps in the time limit wins.
• CPU difficulty - Can be set to ameture, intermediate, professional, or master.
• CPU racers - Toggle CPU racers on or off.
• Laps - Set the number of laps in Laps mode. By default, all the tracks will have 3 laps.
• Time - Set the time from 1 to 5 minutes in Time mode
• Powerups - Select which powerups will be used in the race.
• Teams - Choose whether you want teams or not.

Battle - Battle in an arena with up to four players. This mode can be played with 1 to 4 players.

• Banana Bonanza - Players will start with 3 bananas, if they fall of or get hit by an attack, they'll lose a banana. When the player has lost all their bananas, they'll turn into a mobile TNT crate which they can ram into the other players.
• Canary Coin Carnage - Players have to collect as many Canary Coins within the time limit. The player with the most wins. Time can be set from 1 to 5 minutes.

Time Trials - Race around the track for the best time. You'll have 3 nitro cans each race. This mode can only be played by one player. If the player is fast enough, they'll unlock the Toucan staff ghost, which is very fast.

	Aracari Temple	A simple track around Toucan Tower.
	Clucky's Barn	Race through the farm of Clucky's. Stay out of the mud.
	Wingo Boardwalk	Race around Wingo's boardwalk where he keeps his boats.
	Polly Roger's Lagoon	A race taking place near the lagoon where Polly Roger keeps his galleon.

	Buzza Hive	A track inside of a Buzza hive. I hope they don't mind a bunch of racers in their hive.
	Club Feather	A track inside the club near Seagull Beach
	Dark "n" Dingy Gulch	A track in the gulch near Clucky's Farm.
	Arctic Circuit	A track near Mt. Prickly Peak. You can give your opponents the cold shoulder by knocking them into the freezing water.

	Fishy's River	Race next to a river near Fishy's shed. Just be sure you don't accidently drive in.
	Slip Slide Ride	A track inside an icy cavern.
	Blistering Dunes	A track in the hottest desert of the game.
	Rusty Raceway	A race through the slimy corridors of Rustco Industries.

The three cups above are available at the start. The ones below have to be unlocked

	Toucan Treetops	A race on the treetops of Toco Jungle where you'll get a pretty good view.
	Coldfront's Underwater Tunnel	A racetrack taking place under the icy oceans of Arctic Abyss.
	Sky Road	A track thats way up in the air. Be careful not to fall off.
	Ssslippa's Lair	A race through Ssslippa's hideout. Watch out for his traps in here.

	Crazy Clifftop	A track on the cliffs of Molehill Mountains. You'd better not be afraid of heights.
	Seagull Shores	A track on the beach with plenty of spectators watching the race.
	Soggy Boggy Swamp	A track in the swamp where Stilts lives.
	Steamboat Speedway	A race taking place on a steamboat.

	Triceratops Mountain	A track within Cretaceous Land.
	Peril Park Circuit	A race through the dangerous theme park, Peril Park. I wouldn't eat the food there if I were you.
	King Razorbill's Castle	A race taking place in Razorbill's place. This place is filled with many traps.
	Phantom Road	A mysterious track which has no walls at all.

Battle arenasEdit

	Big Buzza's shed	Go for a battle in Big Buzza's shed. I hope he doesn't mind.
	Ice Pyramid	An awesome pyramid made of ice. Let's just hope global warming doesn't melt it.
	Cretaceous Land Volcano	Knock your opponents in the center to make them hot under the collar.
	Dodgem Dome	Go for a bumpin' good time in the Dodgem Dome.
	Production Room	A small room deep within Rustco Industries.
	Aracari Coliseum	An ancient coliseum where battles were fought many years ago, without karts of course.
	Toucan Tower Interiors	Take a look at some of the ancient carvings on the wall and smash your opponents (forget about looking at the walls, just smash your opponents).
	Block Fort	The popular arena from Mario Kart 64 makes another appearance.

PowerupsEdit

Powerups are obtained by driving into a ? crate.

Nitro Can - Gives you a boost of speed.

Triple Nitro can - Gives you 3 Nitro Cans.

Paint Splotcher - Drops paint behind you. If someone drives over it, they'll spin out.

Triple Paint Splotcher - Gives you 3 Paint Splotchers.

Ice Block - Fires an ice cube forward. If it hits someone, they'll be frozen and keep going straight. They'll unfreeze when they hit a wall or after a few seconds.

Shield Shell - You'll be in a bubble and have super speed and invincibility.

Steel Keg - You'll turn into a steel keg for a short time and go at high speeds and be able to smash anyone.

TNT Crate - It looks like a ? crate, but when someone drives into it, it'll explode.

Crazy Plane - An RC plane that heads for the 1st place racer.

Bowling Bomber - A bomb that rolls to the closest racer.

Triple Bowling Bomber - Gives you 3 Bowling Bombers.

Stormy Weather - Puts a rain cloud above everyone in front of you. They'll drive slower.

Bananas - These will slightly increase your speed with each one collected.
