Final Fantasymon (name pending change to avoid confusion with ManaChain (tbc)'s own Final Fantasymon) is a Nintendomon game by Fereleth (tbc), based on a combination of the Pokémon and Final Fantasy franchises.

Story[]

The game is set amongst three regions which are hinted to be the past or alternate universe forms of Kanto, Johto and Hoenn. The forces of nature throughout the world are kept in check by the four Light Crystals; the Crystals of Fire and Water rest in Hoenn, the crystal of Wind in Johto, and the Crystal of Earth in Kanto.

Characters[]

  • Hero of Light: The Hero of Light is the chosen one of the Crystals, the only one able to reactivate them and restore their power. At the beginning of the game their gender and starting Job are chosen by the player. The available Jobs are Warrior, Monk, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage, and Red Mage.
  • Hero of Darkness: The Hero of Light's rival, they are seeking to destroy the Crystals. Their Job is decided based on the Hero of Light's job: a Fighter's rival is a Red Mage, a Red Mage's rival is a Monk, a Monk's rival is a Thief, a Thief's rival is a Black Mage, a Black Mage's rival is a White Mage, and a White Mage's rival is a Fighter.
  • Professor Cid

Gameplay[]

Job System[]

Final Fantasymon features a job system based on that of Final Fantasy V or the more recent Bravely Default. Jobs are available both to the Hero of Light, and the Pokémon that are captured, although the available jobs are much more limited for Pokémon (usually around three per species). In lieu of evolutionary items or some other methods of evolution, many Pokémon evolutions have been changed to require mastering certain Jobs before evolving.

Pokémon[]

Unlike many other Nintendomon games, Final Fantasymon features a mix of Pokémon from the Pokémon series and monsters from the Final Fantasy series.
