Sonic: A Hedgehog in Time is an 2020 computer-animated film based on the Sonic games, and the first colab between TalixArts Jr. and Lone Planet Productions. It is rumored for a 2020 release, and the first Sonic '14 series film to be released in Australia.

Most of the main voice cast such as Liam Hemsworth, Mark Strong, Samuel L. Jackson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Ashley Greene, Laz Alonso, and Lucas Till all return. New cast members include Natalie Portman, Billy Unger, Scott Lawrence, Chris Evans, Grey DeLisle, Todd Michael Haberkorn, Jack Black, Hayden Christensen, Gerard Butler, Nicholas Cage, Keira Knightley, Ewan McGregor, and Christopher Lee.

Plot

In the future of the corrupted city Morbius, a hedgehog with physic powers named Silver is on the hunt to stop the Deadly Six with the help from Blaze the Cat. As they try to stop them, they uncover a werehog creature, who looks like Sonic, has a devious connection to why the Deadly Six are taking over Morbius. To prevent Sonic from transforming into this creature, Silver goes back to the past to kill Sonic. But when they discover a hidden threat amongst them, Sonic and Silver must team up with the return of Shadow as they must prevent the future Silver saw...and prevent Sonic from actually causing it.

Production

TalixArts has had a deal with Lone Planet allowing them to participate in the production of the 4th Sonic film once Dangerous Edge was finished.

Each of the Sonic '14 series films has been based on a number of Sonic games. the original 2014 film was based on Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), Sonic 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles; Secrets of Shadow was based on Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog; and Dangerous Edge was based on Sonic CD, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Riders. To continue this line, A Hedgehog in Time will be based on some of the games as well: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (2006), Sonic Rush, and Sonic Lost World.

Sonic the Werehog has been confirmed to make an appearance, along with Mephiles the Dark, Eggman Nega, and Mighty the Armadillo.
