The Yoshi Doll originates from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening as a quest item, which Link can win from playing the Trendy Game in Mabe Village. It is the first item that needs to be traded in exchange for the Magnifying Lens. When Link obtains it, he can give it to Papahl's Wife in exchange for a Ribbon, which is then traded for a lot of different items.

Description[]

The Yoshi Doll resembles Yoshi from the Super Mario series, particularly the earlier designs of Yoshi that present him less bipedal. His proportions have been traded to make him overall seem smaller. Although the one seen in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was the normal green Yoshi, several variants with the different Yoshi colors were later made.
