Marvel vs. Capcom 4 (tentative title) is a 2.5D fighting game and it is the fourth game of the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise. Unlike previous titles, this one is being developed by Vector Gaming, Inc. and published by Capcom and it is the first of the franchise to be released for a Nintendo console. The game features gameplay elements that were removed from Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Also known as Steve Rogers, Captain America is a superhero created during the second World War through the super hero serum. The once wealking Steve Rogers became a powerful superhero, with superhuman abilities and a shield that can protect him from everything. Steve took the phrase "the best offense is the defense" literally, as he can use his shield as a weapon and can throw it like a boomerang. |
Deadpool |
Wade Wilson is the mercenary with a mouth, with the ability of regenerate his wounds and having the ability of teleportation, Deadpool decided to go all insane and works for anyone that gives him a large amount of cash. Packed with two guns and a katana, Deadpool is an unpredictable opponent, as his insanity allows him to trick the opponent easily. |
Doctor Doom |
Doctor Doom was a scientist with the intention of taking over the world. He built a entire body armor that gives him many abilities, including flight and the ability of shoot thunder, somehow. His armor protects him from most of the attacks and he recieves less damage from other opponents because of this. |
Dorammu |
One of the most ancient creatures that exists in the universe, Dormammu is described as something worse than the devil. The creator of the demonic underworlds, he is a threat to life in the universe itself. He is able of resizing, teleportation, possesion, necromancy and even the ability of creating other Demon Lords. |
Hulk |
Hulk is an "alter-ego" of scientist Bruce Banner, who got the ability to turn into Hulk when he is angry. As the Hulk, Bruce is an unstoppable force, as him and the Hulk share different minds and he cannot control the Hulk. The Hulk is super-strong, being able to throw heavy objects and even drop from the skies like a meteor. Hulk's biggest disavantage is that he is big, so he is a pretty easy target. |
Iron Man |
Tony Stark is a genius billionare playboy scientist, who after an incident, he had to switch his heart with a machine that keeps him alive. He decided to take one step beyond and created an entire armor which gives him many abilities, including flight, super-strength and laser shooting. Despite his armor looking heavy, Iron Man is pretty fast. |
Magneto |
Magneto is the leader of the Brotherhood, a group of mutants who wants mutants to take over the world of humans. He is able of controlling and generating magnetic fields. He is also able of bending and controlling metals, which he can throw them as projectiles and create weapons using it. |
M.O.D.O.K. |
M.O.D.O.K. is the creation of the scientist George Tarleton, who originally created M.O.D.O.K. to study and improve the Cosmic Cube, but the machine started to kill it's creators and had a desire to take over the world. M.O.D.O.K is able to control humans through psionic powers, generate force fields. His chair comes packed with missiles and lasers in which M.O.D.O.K. can use at any time. |
Phoenix |
Also known as Jean Grey, Phoenix was once a mutant with the telephatic and telekentic powers, until she died and reborn as the Dark Phoenix, a mutant with incredible powers, including the ability of create cosmic flames, she is able to fly, manipulate eletromagnetic and cosmic energies and create stargates. When she turns into the Dark Phoenix, her powers are used to their limit, creating a power that she can't control that deals high damage to her opponents. |
Sentinel |
Robots created specifically to hunt mutants. They are gigantic and powerful, they hit hard and they can fly for a short time, use projectiles like missiles, energy weapons and can detect mutants from a long range. His bodies are highly resistant from damage, in this game, that means that he takes less damage than the rest of the characters, an ability that he shares with Doctor Doom. Like the Hulk, he is a big target, making this one of his major weaknesses. |
She-Hulk |
After recieving blood from his cousin, Bruce Banner, Jennifer Walters got the same ability as his cousin, having an alter-ego that is more powerful and that can be used when Jennifer is angry. Unlike Hulk, She-Hulk doesn't changes sizes when transforming and her personality doesn't changes significantly like Hulk does. She is faster and has higher stamina than the Hulk. |
