What's Wii U.U?[]
The Wii U.U is the successor to the Wii U, which serves as its predecessor. Unlike the Wii U, the Wii U.U is a handheld device. It features a single touchscreen that supports both touch interaction and 3D display capabilities, sometimes referred to as "Wii U 3D," though this is not an official name. Although the Wii U.U is not yet in production, it is designed to be similar to the Nintendo 3DS but with only one display instead of two.
One notable feature of the Wii U.U is its compatibility with the Wii; games started on the Wii can be continued seamlessly on the Wii U.U.
Media Compatibility[]
The Wii U.U can read discs from the Wii and GameCube, cartridges from the Nintendo DS and 3DS, and 128-megabit cartridges from the Game Boy Advance. It also supports its own Wii U.U discs.
Controllers and Inputs[]
The main feature of the Wii U.U controller includes a 9.3-inch touchscreen flanked by traditional controls:
- A digital pad on the left
- A, B, Y, and X buttons on the right (similar to the Nintendo DS layout)
- Two analog sticks, one on each side of the screen, above the main buttons
- L and R shoulder buttons, with ZL and ZR buttons positioned behind
- C-buttons, Home, Select (-), Start (+), and a new circular Z-button (adapted from the Nunchuck)
- Power button located directly below the touchscreen
The controller is also equipped with a stylus, a frontal camera, microphone, stereo speakers, a sensor strip, rumble system, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, rechargeable battery, and built-in flash memory for data storage.
