Overview[]

Gameplay[]

The same gameplay returns as always. You attempt to KO your opponents to win. Coin mode was taken out of Ultimate Fight, although it was originally intended to be in the game. It makes a slight appearance in Classic mode on Stage 9. The camera feature stays, along with Special Fights. Stamina mode changed, as now players can go up to 500 HP as opposed to 300 in Brawl. The item switch is in Ultimate Fight, and it is available from the beginning of the game. Random stage switch, unlike its predecessors, is also usable from the beginning.

Group[]

VS.[]

A simple pickup match. All players pick their characters, P1 sets the rules on the next screen, then the stage is chosen. Team battle returns, but this time, teammates don't have to be the same color. They are Teams 1, 2 and 3.

Special Match[]

This mode is like VS, only special rules are chosen. Conditions can be changed, for example, you could put a 300% handicap, or have a battle with a set amount of HP. All players could be metal, or have the effects of the Superspicy Curry. Multiple options can also be chosen like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Tournament[]

This mode is exactly what the name says; a tournament. The amount of humans and CPUs is picked. Then characters are picked, then custom rules are chosen. There are 2 players per match, and the amount of tournament fighters can be 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 32, 48, and 64, much like Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Vault[]

Stage Builder[]

The Stage Builder returns from Brawl with more features! Other than the new objects, nothing changes from Brawl.

Album[]

In this mode, you can look at all of your photos you've taken.

Replays[]

In this mode, you can look at previously recorded matches.

Lottery[]

Lottery replaces Coin Launcher in Ultimate Fight. The difference between this lottery and Melee's lottery is that instead of a max 999 coins, the max is now 9999, providing more money, providing a better chance for a new trophy.

Other[]

There are more modes than listed above. There is online play and data, like in SSBB.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first Super Smash Bros. game to be released for a handheld console.
