Trailers[]

Announcement Trailer[]

The trailer begins with a Smash Ball floating around in a black void. The screen suddenly turns white and reveals Battlefield, with Mario, Link, Pikachu, and Kirby watching it float about. They all rush to attack it, but then the logo for the game appears. Gameplay is shown of them duking it out, along with several other characters fighting. It then transforms back into an animated scene, and shows a hand pulling out a notebook and scribbling down something. A dinosaur appears and splash text says Maxwell writes it up!.

Trivia[]

  • Palutena's Guidance returns from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. To see the full list of Palutena's Guidances, click here.
  • Originally, Cracker Launchers were going to be renamed to Firework Blasters. Flippers and Cloaking Devices were also to make returns, but were scrapped. The Boo item replaces the latter.
  • SonicFanG7 created this game to express their idea for a proper Smash game on the Wii U. SonicFan doesn't hate SSB4, but has stated that it [Super Smash Bros. 4] didn't exactly feel like a Smash game.
  • Stickers (from Brawl) were replaced by Miiverse Stamps in the final game. This was done so that the stamps actually served a purpose.
  • Several stage ideas were considered, including a Nintendo 3DS stage that would shift through different games as the match went on. This idea came from the fan game by McLeod Gaming, Super Smash Flash 2.
  • To make finding unlockable content easier, SonicFanG7 has created a page that contains all of the content that needs to be unlocked. The page can be found here.
