It often fights with Murkrow over prey they're both trying to catch.

Meowth throws a barrage of coins left or right in the opponent's direction. Though it will turn to face the opponent that is closest to it. 101 Electrode
101Electrode Summary Explosion
Electrode (Japanese: マルマイン Marumine) is an Electric-type Pokémon. It evolves from Voltorb starting at level 30. Electrode eats electricity in the atmosphere. On days when lightning strikes, you can see this Pokémon exploding all over the place from eating too much electricity. One of Electrode's characteristics is its attraction to electricity. It is a problematical Pokémon that congregates mostly at electrical power plants to feed on electricity that has just been generated.

Electrode is both used as an item and appears out of a Poké Ball. When Electrode comes out of the Poké Ball, it will just sit on the stage, but will start to get darker over a period of a few seconds. This serves as warning that Electrode is about to explode. When Electrode explodes, everyone in the blast radius (including the character who summoned Electrode) will take heavy damage that is almost equal to a Bob-omb, and can KO characters at even low percentages. However, there is a chance that it will fail to explode, and it can only be picked up when this occurs. When a thrown Electrode collides with the ground or another player, it explodes.

103 Alola Exeggutor
103Exeggutor-Alola Summary ???
Exeggutor is a Grass/Psychic type Pokémon that first appeared in Generation I. It evolves from Exeggcute via a Leaf Stone while in any other region other than Alola, or in Ultra Space. Its Alolan counterpart is a Grass/Dragon type that was first introduced in Generation VII, and only appears in Alola. Alolan Exeggutor is the second tallest Pokémon as of Generation VII, standing at a height of about 35 feet, or about 11 meters. As such, official artwork portrays it towering over everyone, mirroring its appearance in Smash Bros. Alola is the best environment for this Pokémon. Local people take pride in its appearance, saying this is how Exeggutor ought to look. As it grew taller and taller, it outgrew its reliance on psychic powers, while within it awakened the power of the sleeping dragon. Once summoned, Alolan Exeggutor acts like a wall and separates the stage, preventing characters from interacting with other characters on the other side. Characters who can wall cling or wall jump can do so.

120 Staryu
120Staryu Summary Swift
Staryu (Japanese: ヒトデマン Hitodeman) is a Water-type Pokémon. It evolves into Starmie when exposed to a Water Stone. Large numbers of these Pokémon make their home at the seaside. At night, a strange red glow radiates from the center of their bodies. This Pokémon gets nibbled on by Lumineon and others. Thanks to its red core, it regenerates fast, so it's unconcerned by their snack attacks.

It will fly around the screen to find another character to shoot at. Once it stops moving and targets a character, Staryu will start to use Swift. Staryu will not move once it starts using Swift. Any character that makes contact with Swift will take damage. However, the attack can be easily DI'd out of. Any character can also take damage if they touch Staryu while it's using Swift attack. On the bright side, many Pokémon enjoy longer life spans, thanks to Magikarp.

Magikarp flops around on the stage helplessly until it disappears or has fallen off the stage. It is one of two completely harmless Pokémon in the game, the other being the cute legendary's. Magikarp does not have any hitboxes; none of its attacks give damage to any of the characters. Thus, it is established as the "dud" Pokémon of the Smash Bros. series.

It starts nodding off while eating—and continues to eat even while it's asleep.

Snorlax uses Body Slam as its attack. Snorlax jumps in the air and disappears off the screen. Snorlax will then inflate itself, making it bigger, and descend towards the bottom of the screen. Any character that makes contact with Snorlax will take damage. Snorlax also destroys certain things on a stage. It will detonate certain explosive items like Bob-ombs and Motion-Sensor Bombs. Along with Cyndaquil and Totodile, Chikorita is one of the three starter Pokémon of Johto. In battle, Chikorita waves its leaf around to keep the foe at bay. However, a sweet fragrance also wafts from the leaf, becalming the battling Pokémon and creating a cozy, friendly atmosphere all around. Chikorita will start shaking its head and send out a barrage of leaves from its head: the leaves travel in a straight line, dealing slash damage to opponents. The attack is rather brief and easily avoided, but as it consists in multiple, quick hits it can be rather difficult to get out of.

175 Togepi
175Togepi Summary Metronome
Togepi (Japanese: トゲピー Togepy) is a Fairy-type baby Pokémon. Prior to Generation VI, it was a Normal-type Pokémon. It evolves into Togetic when leveled up with high friendship, which evolves into Togekiss when exposed to a Shiny Stone. As its energy, Togepi uses the positive emotions of compassion and pleasure exuded by people and Pokémon. This Pokémon then stores up feelings of happiness inside its shell, then shares them with others.

It uses Metronome as its attack. Togepi's Metronome deals out status effects to all characters within a certain radius. The summoner is not harmed by any of Togepi's Metronome attacks. Togepi's Metronome is made up of five attacks that are chosen randomly. The attacks are:

  • Leech Seed: This attack has the same effect as Lip's Stick. A flower is planted on the head of any players who are in Togepi's glowing attack radius. Without counting the flower damage, the attack hits consecutively with no knockback, and deals about 22%, with the first hit dealing the most damage.
  • Powder Snow: A blast of ice is shot out. Any character stuck in the blast radius will be frozen for a couple of seconds and take damage. Unlike other freezing attacks, Powder Snow is a meteor smash, and as a result has no noticable knockback on grounded characters. Deals about 10% damage.
  • Hypnosis: Togepi releases its Hypnosis, similar to Bellossom's attack. A character will fall asleep momentarily if he/she is in the attack's radius, taking about 10% damage. As other attacks that induce sleep, it doesn't affect mid-air characters.
  • Magnitude: Togepi starts shaking the ground. Anyone near Togepi will become imbedded into the ground for a couple of seconds, like the effect from Donkey Kong's Headbutt attack. This attack looks similar to Venusaur's attack. Hits a maximum of 3 times, each one doing 5% damage.
  • SmokeScreen: Togepi releases a black magic aura, which completely blackens the screen for a second, disorienting players, though computer-controlled characters are unaffected. The accuracy of the opponents are lowered as additional effect for the CPU's.

Dex Bellossom
182Bellossom Summary Sweet Scent
Bellossom (Japanese: キレイハナ Kireihana) is a Grass-type Pokémon. It evolves from Gloom when exposed to a Sun Stone. It is one of Oddish's final forms, the other being Vileplume. When Bellossom gets exposed to plenty of sunlight, the leaves ringing its body begin to spin around. This Pokémon's dancing is renowned in the southern lands. A Bellossom grows flowers more beautifully if it has evolved from a smelly Gloom—the more stinky the better. At night, this Pokémon closes its petals and goes to sleep.

Bellossom will use Sweet Scent as its attack. Bellossom will start dancing when it comes out of the Poké Ball. Any character that makes contact with the powder surrounding Bellossom will fall asleep. The character who is asleep cannot move until he or she is attacked or when Bellosom disappears, making this Pokémon ideal for characters who possess attacks with large Knockback.

202 Wobbuffet
202Wobbuffet Summary Counter
Wobbuffet (Japanese: ソーナンス Sonans) is a Psychic-type Pokémon. It evolves from Wynaut starting at level 15. If two or more Wobbuffet meet, they will turn competitive and try to outdo each other's endurance. However, they may try to see which one can endure the longest without food. Trainers need to beware of this habit. Wobbuffet does nothing but endure attacks—it won't attack on its own. However, it won't endure an attack on its tail. When that happens, the Pokémon will try to take the foe with it using Destiny Bond.

Wobbuffet rocks back and forth when the player attacks it or hits it with an item. Any character that makes contact with Wobbuffet's Counter will take damage. If Wobbuffet hasn't been hit, contact with it will still cause very minor knockback, but will cause no damage. The power of Wobbuffet's Counter attack varies. If Wobbuffet is hit with a weak attack, it won't wobble a lot. If Wobbuffet is hit with a strong attack, Counter will then cause more damage. Wobbuffet will wobble more intensly if hit with a powerful item. Characters will take more damage if they are hit with a faster wobbling Wobbuffet. Also, characters can get trapped in a Wobbuffet's Counter if it is not too powerful. Wobbuffet's attack harms both opponents and the summoner.

As a result, this Pokémon chooses to live out of sight deep under the sea. When summoned, Lugia will remain on the screen for a few seconds, and then fly off the screen to the background of the stage. Lugia will release an Aeroblast that will travel around the stage in a random pattern, that will move towards the direction of the summoner's opponents. This Pokémon’s stomach contains special enzymes that dissolve anything.

When summoned, Gulpin will stay where summoned. If an opponent should come within range of Gulpin, it will open its mouth wide and swallow them. They will receive damage according to the amount they are contained in it. Other players can inflict damage to the opponent inside by hitting the Pokémon. They will be abruptly spat out in a few seconds. If the trapped player does button mashing, Gulpin will flail around as if the trapped character is trying to attack it, and Gulpin will spit the character out earlier than it is supposed to, decreasing the amount of damage done. The attack cannot harm the user. If playing as the Ice Climbers, if Popo is swallowed, the Ice Climbers will desynch and the player will be able to directly control Nana until Gulpin releases Popo.

Latias & Latios
File:380LatiasLatios.png Summary Steel Wing
Eon duo is a popular fan-created term that collectively refers to the Legendary Eon Pokémon Latias and Latios. They are also referred to as Lati@s (as the symbol "@" looks like an "a" inside an "o") or the Lati twins. When summoned, both Latias and Latios scoot off in opposite directions (Latias will attack from the right, Latios from the left). They zoom back and cross paths in an X-fashion. The impact causes heavy damage, and knockback is rather strong. The winds from their speed pick up and affect items and characters, forming a sort of "vacuum" at their intersections. This can be extremely dangerous for light characters and those with poor recoveries because a player can easily get caught in a "vacuum" and get KO'd off the side or knocked too far away from the stage to recover.

It can summon storms that cause the sea levels to rise. Kyogre is said to be the personification of the sea itself. Legends tell of its many clashes against Groudon, as each sought to gain the power of nature. When summoned from a Poké Ball, Kyogre starts floating in the air and shooting water from its mouth with Hydro Pump. While Kyogre's body does damage on contact the water it shoots just pushes back its targets and is useful for stopping recoveries. However, this attack cannot hit any player that is hanging on a ledge.

It uses its Surf attack to glide across the stage until it reaches a blast line or exceeds a time limit. Any character that gets caught in Piplup's surf will get washed away with it and will likely get KO'd while trapped, along with Piplup. The simpler the stage's terrain is, the more effective Piplup's Surf will be. Piplup can also be reflected. Sometimes Piplup will instantly use Surf.

438 Bonsly
438Bonsly Summary Tackle
Bonsly (Japanese: ウソハチ Usohachi) is a Rock-type baby Pokémon. It evolves into Sudowoodo when leveled up while knowing Mimic. It does not deal well with water, so it lives in dry locales. Since its surroundings tend to lack greenery, it stands out noticeably. From its eyes, it can expel excess moisture from its body. This liquid is similar in composition to human sweat.

Bonsly is one of the Pokémon that appears out of a Poké Ball. If it is not picked up, it will walk back and forth along the ground, similar to a Bob-omb. When it appears, it can be picked up and thrown at enemies, but despite its small size, it is thrown and carried like a Crate rather than a normal item due to its weight. Given this, it won't fly very far when thrown, but it inflicts heavy knockback and damage against opponents it comes in contact with. When thrown, it will also bounce along the ground upon contact with it, while retaining its hitboxes. Like any thrown item, Bonsly can be reflected. It can usually only be thrown 3 times before disappearing.

460 Abomasnow

When released from its Poké Ball it remains stationary and uses Blizzard, circling itself with a damaging icy vortex which draws opponents in. After two usages of Blizzard it dashes forward and attacks with an Ice Punch, doing 15% damage and freezing the target. It performs this routine two times before disappearing.

461 Weavile
461Weavile Summary False Swipe
Weavile (Japanese: マニューラ Manyula) is a dual-type Dark/Ice Pokémon. It evolves from Sneasel when leveled up at night while holding a Razor Claw. They travel in groups of four or five, leaving signs for one another on trees and rocks. They bring down their prey with coordinated attacks. They dwell in cold places. This Pokémon's main food source in Alola is Vulpix and Sandshrew, which they carefully divide among their group.

Weavile appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Brawl. When summoned, Weavile will use False Swipe and slash at other foes on the stage furiously. On the ground, the attack only does 1% damage with no knockback, but any opponent that gets hit will be stunned. Weavile moves back and forth for a long duration of time, trapping opponents for that period of time. When used on an airborne opponent, the attack has high knockback, making a Star KO very likely. In the Pokémon games, the move False Swipe would reduce the opponent's HP to up to 1 HP, never below, making it strange that this move can KO. Like Fox Illusion, if Weavile darts off an edge, it will KO itself.

484 Palkia
