Samus is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Madness. She is a starter character and is a mediumweight character in her armor, and lightweight as Zero Suit Samus. Samus is faster then in Brawl, and Zero Suit Samus is fast. Samus is a powerful character, giving her good KO potential. Zero Suit Samus does not have much strength, but makes up for it in speed and agility.
Special Moves[]
Samus[]
- B: Charge Beam: Samus charges the Charge Beam, then blasts the beam by pressing B again.
- Side: Missle/Super Missle: With a tap of B and the side button, Samus launches a homing missile. If the B button is held, Samus launches a bigger missile that does more damage but does not home in on the enemy.
- Up: Screw Attack: Samus uses the Screw Attack to gain altitude. It also damages anyone it touches.
- Down: Bomb: Samus places down a Bomb in Morph Ball mode. It explodes soon after.
- Final Smash: Zero Laser: Samus fires an amazingly large laser from her Beam Cannon. However, it transforms her into Zero Suit Samus.
Zero Suit Samus[]
- B: Paralyzer: Zero Suit Samus fires a gun with small reach. It stuns the enemy it hits.
- Side: Plasma Whip: Samus fires a whip out of her gun that stuns enemies.
- Up: Plasma Wire: Zero Suit Samus fires a plasma rope at a ledge above her. If it hits the ledge, it allows her to pull herself up to the ledge. It also works on enemies and friends alike.
- Down: Backflip: Samus does a backflip, working as a triple jump.
- Final Smash: Varia Suit: Zero Suit Samus transforms into Samus.

- Down: Samus does several poses with her Beam Cannon.
- Side: Samus' Beam Cannon spins on her arm.

- Up: Zero Suit Samus flips her Paralyzer in the air then catches it.
- Down: Zero Suit Samus spins on her left foot.
- Side: Zero Suit Samus flicks her Paraylzer whip.

- Pit: Huh? You mean her shoulderpads? I noticed that the last time. Why bring it up?
- Palutena: I just wanted to make sure you noticed. Anyway, Samus doesn't seem to have any new abilites, unless you noticed anything.
- Pit: Nothing on my end. So, its been a while since a Metroid game was released...
- Palutena: I see. So, do you happen to know why Samus became a bounty hunter?
- Pit: Samus' parents were killed by a dragon named Ridley. Samus was raised by the Chozo race and trained to be a warrior. She then decided to become a bounty hunter.
- Palutena: Well, it sounds pretty sad. She must have some expierences as a bounty hunter, of course.
- Pit: Well, that's the thing. I never heard of her actually catching a bounty, or reciving a bounty mission at all!
- Palutena: Strange. Be careful, Pit.
Zero Suit Samus[]
- Palutena: Pit, thats Samus in her Zero Suit. Watch out, her Paraylzer can stun you!
- Pit: Huh? Oh, sorry. I was distracted.
- Palutena: Distracted? By what, the scenery?
- Pit: You could call it that, yes. I'll focus now, so don't remind me.
- Palutena: Right. Just make it back here on time, okay?
- Pit: Okay, Lady Palutena.

Trophy Description[]
Samus[]
Samus comes from planet Earth, but her colony was attacked by Space Pirates. After her parents were killed by Ridley, Samus was alone. However, the strange Chozo bird named Old Bird adopted Samus and took her to planet Zebes. Samus was trained and raised by the Chozo. Samus then became a bounty hunter and worked for the Galactic Federation several times. Although she got revenge on Ridley, there are still Space Pirates who still want to destroy her.

Zero Suit Samus[]
When Samus removes her Varia Suit, it results in the Zero Suit. It was first used when Space Pirates shot down her Gunship, but she managed to get back her Varia Suit. It is also used for casual trips in her Gunship. Outside of her suit, Samus is much faster. To this day, it is unknown who designed the Zero Suit.
