Super Smash Bros. Combat is an upcoming game for the X-Drive. It is the sixth game in the Super Smash Bros. series. It will be developed by HAL Laboratory and released on November 23, 2025.
Gameplay[]
Following its predecessors, Super Smash Bros. Combat uses a battle system unlike that of typical fighting games. Players are able to select a variety of characters including many newcomers. Players then choose a wide range of stages to battle on. This game will also feature a new story mode based off of the Subspace Emissary, previously explored in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Super Smash Bros. Combat also sees a return to the fast-paced competitive gameplay of Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the game is compatible with a Nintendo GameCube controller, Wii remote and Wii U GamePad (the latter two with an accessory).
Multiversal Clash! (Story Mode)[]
Multiversal Clash! is the Story Mode of Super Smash Bros. Combat. Multiversal Clash! acts as the successor to the Subspace Emissary and World of Light, explored through Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Through this mode, new bosses will appear and new stages will be explored such as the Egg Carrier, Forest Follies, Emerald Coast, Mushroom Kingdom and more. Details regarding Multiversal Clash! will be revealed at a later date.
Characters[]
Super Smash Bros. Combat features 49 characters in total (55 with DLC). A year after its release, it is planned for every character who were playable in previous games will be available for purchase as downloadable content.
