Prickly Piranha Plant

A Prickly Piranha Plant.

Prickly Piranha Plants are enemies that appear throughout the Super Mario Galaxy Series. They resemble Piranha Plants, except they are larger, purple, and have thorns on their stems. They can attack Mario by slamming their heads ontop of him. Once defeated, they usually turn into a Launch Flower.

Koopa Kart Series

Prickly Piranha Plants have not appeared in a Koopa Kart game yet. However, they are scheduled to replace Piranha Plants in the upcoming game Koopa Kart Galaxy.

Mario Hoops 3-On-3 Switch

Prickly Piranha Plant appears as a costume for Piranha Plant. When selecting the character hold down the left control stick to the left to turn Piranha Plant into Prickly Piranha Plant.
