The list below contains various enemies that are encountered in Super Mario U.

Goomba look NSMBU Goomba Goombas are very common enemies. They will only walk around, and will not turn around when walking toward a cliff. They can be defeated by stomping them.
Paragoomba in flight Paragoomba Paragoombas are Goombas that have wings, but are uncommon enemies. They are found bouncing around or flying around dropping Micro-Goombas. When stomped, they'll lose their wings, and will become a Goomba.
Pricklygoomba Prickly Goomba Prickly Goombas are Goombas that hide in Chestnut Shells. These goombas will stand where they are, and will peak out of their shell. If these enemies are hit with any kind of fireball, they're shell will be broken, and the Goomba in the shell will pop out of it.
Green Koopa New Koopa

Koopa Troopas are also common enemies, along
with Goombas. They walk around like Goombas, but Green Koopas walk off cliffs, and Red Koopas turn around. Koopas have sturdy shells, so when they're stomped, they'll retreat into their shell. Their shells can be picked up.
Paratroopa New Koopa Paratroopa Koopa Paratroopas are Koopas that have wings. They're found bouncing around or flying. They are either found in a red shell or a green shell. When they're stomped, they'll lose their wings, and will become normal Koopas.
Lakitu NSMBWii Lakitu Lakitus are Koopas that fly around in a cloud. They'll fly around the course throwing Spiny Eggs. When the eggs land on the ground, they'll become a Spiny. They can be defeated by stomping, but when throwing a fireball at them, the player is able to ride around in the Lakitu's Cloud.
MP7 DryBones Dry Bones Dry Bones are undead Koopas, that are commonly found in Castles and Forts. When stomped, they will shatter into broken pieces of bones. After a while, they will reform into a full body. They can actually be defeated by using an Ice Flower.
Parabones NSMBDIY Parabones Parabones are Dry Bones with wings. Unlike Paratroopas, Parabones can only be encountered flying. When they're stomped, they'll shatter into pieces, but will re-assemble into a Dry Bones.

Piranha Plants are common enemies that can be found in various levels. The can either be found popping out of Pipes trying to chomp the player, or planted on the ground, trying to chomp the player. They can be defeated by a fireball thrown by a player.
FirePiranhaU Fire Piranha Fire Piranhas are Piranha Plants that spit fireballs. Like Piranha Plants, they can be either popping out of pipes or planted on the ground, but will try to burn the player with its fireballs. Like Piranha Plants, they can be defeated with a fireball thrown by a player.
Hammer Brother. Hammer
Bro.
Hammer Bros. are soldier-like Koopas that wear green armor. They will bounce around, while throwing hammers. They can be defeated by stomping them. Their hammers can be swallowed by Yoshis.
Boomerang Bro. SM3DL Boomerang Bro. Boomerang Bros. are Hammer Brothers that wear blue armor. Instead of throwing hammers, Boomerang Bros. will instead throw boomerangs. They can be defeated by stomping them.
Fire Bro.'s Artwork Fire Bro. Fire Bros. are Hammer Brothers that wear red armor. These enemies throw fireballs instead of throwing hammers. They can be defeated by stomping them.
IceBro Ice Bro. Ice Bros. are Hammer Brothers that wear cyan armor. Mostly related to the Fire Bros., Ice Bros. will throw iceballs, that can freeze the players. They can be defeated by stomping them.
Cheep-Cheep cool Cheep-Cheep Cheep-Cheeps are fish-like enemies. They can be found on Beach levels, bouncing out of the water. They can also be found underwater, swimming around. They can be defeated by stomping, but not underwater. Instead, they must be hit by a fireball.
Cheep-Cheep School NSMBVR Cheep-Cheep School Cheep-Cheep Schools are groups of Golden Cheep-Cheeps. These enemies can only be found in groups, and can only be found underwater. They can be defeated by fireballs.
Deep-Cheep Mario 2012 game Deep-Cheep Deep-Cheeps are green Cheep-Cheeps. When a player encounters a Deep-Cheep, the enemy will start following the player, and will stop following the player when they're far away from the enemy.

Spiny Cheep-Cheeps are purple Cheep-Cheeps that have spikes on their heads. Like Deep Cheeps, Spiny Cheep-Cheeps will follow the player, but won't stop following the player unless it's defeated. They can be defeated by a fireball.

Porcu-Puffers are uncommon enemies that are found on Beach levels. They will swim around in the water, and once in a while, they'll attack by bouncing out of the water. They can be defeated by a fireball thrown by a player.
MP9 Chain Chomp Bust Chain Chomp Chain Chomps are wrecking ball enemies that act much like dogs or wolves. They're chains are tied to a stump, which makes them ranged enemies. To defeat them, their stump must be ground-pounded three times.
BooNSMBWii Boo Boos are ghost creatures that are usually found in Ghost Houses. When a player is facing a Boo, the Boo, will cover its eyes and won't move. When a player isn't looking at a Boo, it'll try to follow the player. They can be defeated by a Starman.
PokeyNSMBU Pokey Pokeys are cactus-like enemies that are found in Deset levels. They'll shift around their segments while moving. They can be defeated by fireballs to the segments, or one fireball to the head.
N/A Fliprus Flipruses are Walrus-related enemies. They will create snowballs fro the tip of their head, and will flip to throw the snowball. They can be defeated by stomping them. Their snowballs can also be stomped.
NewPodoboos Podoboo Podoboos are fireball creatures that are found in castle levels. These enemies will bounce out of lava, and will fall back in. They can be defeated by an iceball.
