Ruff Puffs are cloud like enemies that appear in the Mario Series. Their first appearance being in Paper Mario where they served Huff 'N Puff.
History[]
Paper Mario: The Sage's Quest[]
Ruff Puffs are set to appear in Paper Mario: The Sage's Quest as enemies. It is still unknown weather or not their boss, Huff 'N Puff will appear with them, or if they are just minor enemies. It is known that their sub-species, Ice Puff, Posion Puff and Pyro Puff will appear.
Super Mario World: Wii[]
Ruffs Puffs, along with their boss Huff 'N Puff, appear in Super Mario World: Wii with their related species, Fwoosh and Foo. They are set to appear in World Eight along with Foo, Fwoosh, and Huff 'N Puff, so it is assumed World Eight will most likely be a Sky World.
Super Mario RPG: The Eight Shining Stars[]
Ruff Puffs appear in Super Mario RPG: The Eight Shining Stars as enemies. They have 150 max HP. They can ram a party member for 11 damage. They can also charge their attack, then unleash a deadly thunder attack for 20 damage.
Paper Mario: The Shards of Time[]
Ruff Puffs, as well as a new subspecies known as the Thunder Puff, will appear as enemies.
The party member known as Gale is also a Thunder Puff.

This is a Ruff Puff. Ruff Puffs are nasty little cloud henchmen of Huff 'N. Puff. Ruff Puffs float in the air, so a jump attack or something similar may be best. Of course, I'd be more than happy to give 'em a Headbonk! It's your call, Mario.- Goombario
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door[]
This is a Ruff Puff. Don't confuse them with Dark Puffs... Although I don't think the world would end if you DID confuse them, but anyway... Max HP is 7, Attack is 4, and Defense is 0. They swoop at you or charge themselves with electricity before unleashing lightning. Oh, and if you touch them while they're charged, you'll get a shock! - Goombella

That's a Ruff Puff. It floats in the sky, like a little grumpy thundercloud... Max HP is 15 and Attack is 4. It will shock you if you get too close... You'd better keep your distance until you see an opening to attack... Do you think it's related to the cloud Lakitu rides around on? - Tippi
