Mario & Luigi: Vibe Power (Mario & Luigi RPG 6 The Power of Vibes in Japan) is the 6 instalment in the series. It is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo Switch at a future date.
Story[]
After the events of Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and the events of Super Princess Peach, Bowser, who is in his hiding place on Vibe Island called Bowser's Villa, calls the Army Hammer Bro and orders him to bring the Vibe Scepter, which was lost after the fight against Princess Peach. The Army Hammer Bro tells Bowser that he received a message from Kamek that reveals that a bunch of Octoombas managed to find the Vibe Scepter, which was floating near the Comet Observatory, and brought it to Kamek to deliver it to Bowser. Suddenly, Kamek appears and hands the Vibe Scepter to Bowser. Bowser Jr., who is driving his Junior Clown Car, appears and asks his father to test the Vibe Scepter's powers, to which Bowser agrees. When Bowser Jr. tests the Vibe Scepter's powers, Bowser is happy that the Vibe Scepter still works since the events of Super Princess Peach and decides to use the Vibe Scepter this time to try to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. When Bowser puts his new evil plan into action, Bowser orders Army Hammer Bro and Bowser Jr. capture the Mario Brothers and the Toads to imprison them as prisoners on Vibe Island.
Meanwhile, in the Mushroom Kingdom inside Princess Peach's Castle, Mario and Luigi find Starlow who says Princess Peach is waiting in her throne room. When Mario and Luigi arrive in the throne room, Princess Peach appears and tells the Mario Brothers that she is glad they arrived and prepares to talk to them, but suddenly, a gang of Hammer Bros invades the castle and imprisons the Toads. Mario tries to stop the Hammer Bros while Luigi adopts a cautious attitude in fear of facing the Hammer Bros, Bowser Jr. appears and imprisons Mario and Luigi in a cage before leaving the castle to return to Bowser's Villa while Starlow decides to follow Mario and Luigi.
When Princess Peach is shocked by the kidnapping of Mario and Luigi, she receives a letter from Bowser that says the reptilian tyrant is going to use the Vibe Scepter to try to take over the Mushroom Kingdom.

- This is the first game in the Mario & Luigi series that is not developed by AlphaDream, as AlphaDream went out of business in 2019. Instead, Good-Feel takes over AlphaDream's position from that game.
- This game features full voice lines as in Super Mario Sunshine, being the first in the Mario & Luigi series to do so. Also, Kamek and Army Hammer Bro speak voice lines in both English and Japanese as their voice actors are Japanese.
