" Paper Mario: Shadows Rise," is a game made by Dino Bino Inc. and published by Nintendo. It is the 5th installment in the Paper Mario series and returns to having partners and bigger worlds to explore. It is available for the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS.
Story[]
Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toadsworth are having fun in the castle, when Peach wants to tell The Bros. a story. She says that long ago, a small Star Child named Brightly had been the smallest and bravest Star Deasent there was. One day, curiousity got the best of him, and he broke the seal that held an old monster the Mushroom World: Lord Virus. Soon, he tried to raid the kingdom, but Brightly and the Toads stopped him. Ever since, he has been locked in the deepest part of the Mushroom Dungeon.
Suddenly, Bowser and Kamek suddenly appear in the village and try to kidnap the Princess. Mario tries to stop him, and the first battle begins...
When Bowser gets beaten, a small figure by the name of Spartechel appears and tells the village that he revived his old master, which is Lord Virus. Lord Virus grabs Peach and Bowser and flies away. Spartechel drops a Bom-Omb in the Town Square, and the village explodes.
When Mario wakes up, he sees that fog has rolled in the Kingdom. He sees a bright light in the fog, and he follows it. To his surprise, it's Brightly. Mario wakes Brightly up, and he tells Mario that now that Lord Virus is free, he needs to stop him. Mario offers to aid him and rescue the Princess and Bowser. Brightly is delighted, and sets off through the foggy kingdom. The adventure begins...
Meanwhile, Luigi wakes up in another foggy area in the Kingdom when he hears Kamek and Toadsworth discussing Lord Virus. They encounter Luigi, and tell him that they'll aid him on his quest to find Mario.
