Musical Notes are items which have appeared in every Banjo-Kazooie game to date. Although their appearance has not changed much, their exact function varies greatly from game to game.

Uses[]

Throughout the Banjo-Kazooie series, the Music Notes have had many uses. Their first use, in Banjo-Kazooie, is to open Music Note Doors in Gruntilda's Lair. Each door requird a certain number of notes, but they would not be removed from the inventory after use. There were 900 notes in the game.

In Banjo-Tooie, they were changed greatly. Instead of appearing by themselves, they appeared in bunches of five, and a Treble Cleff is worth 20. Each of Jam-Jar's moves requires notes, but only a small amount. Again, there are 900 notes. In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, they are used as currency, and are in different colors.

Once again, Music Notes appear in Banjo-Kazooie x3. They appear by themselves and in bunches of 5 or 10, and can be deposited into Music Machines to activate an event to call forth the boss of the area. Each world has 100 Music Notes, and the main world has 200, therefore making the grand total 900 (again).
