The Mooncrashers are three Lunaters that appear in Paper Mario: The Ancient Book. The trio consists of Aiden, Ahmed and Archie. They are high-rank, elite members of the Lunaters that help Merlunar and Count Darkow on their mission of getting the Mystic Gems and unseal the temple of the Ancient Book so Darkow can take possession of its magic.
Aiden is the leader of the group. He has a bad temperament and often scolds the others when things don't turn out like they planned, even if it was his fault. He's in the middle in terms of power, but he is able to charge it. He's bipolar. Ahmed is the intelligent one, and the weakest. He is more of a technology user, creating his own weapons, but can also use thunder magic. Archie is the silly one. He's very random and childish, but he's the powerhouse of the bunch.
History[]
They were first seen at Moonside Central, where they ruin professor Smar T.'s presentation along with Merlunar, by scaring the citizens and trapping the professor, McTail and Princess Peach. Mario fights Merlunar, and they perform a surprise attack on Mario, making him unconscious. They escape afterwards, releasing Smar T. and McTail but kidnapping Peach.
They were sent by Darkow to ambush Mario & co. in Isle Verdozo. While Mario & co. were exploring the Rockster Caverns, the Mooncrashers were stalking the Verdozo Beach, waiting for his arrival. Aiden thinks a certain yellow plumber is the one they were looking for, not remembering that Mario wears red and blue. Ahmed tries to tell him he's not the one, but Aiden refuses to listen and so they kidnap him. Later, after arriving at Darkow's throne room, they bring Wario instead of Mario, and Darkow gets furious while Merlunar makes fun of their idiocy. Aiden blames Ahmed, and soon they both start a discussion while a confused Archie looks at them. The angered Darkow shuts them up, and orders them to get rid of Mario and do it right this time. They leave along with the kidnapped Wario.
Later in the game, they start looking for Mario in Neon Capitale. This time they memorized that he was a red & blue plumber. When Mario solves the mystery of the Neon Theatre and heads off to defeat the owner, Duplinish, they ambush Mario & co. and they fought them. The Mooncrashers were defeated, and had to flee.

- Tattle: This is Ahmed, a Lunater member of the Mooncrashers. He seems to be the brain of the group, that's cool. He can heal or boost his friends, so it's better to take him out first!

- Tattle: This is Archie, a Lunater member of the Mooncrashers. He... doesn't look like he's really smart, but he's a powerhouse. He can use powerful wind magic that can make you dizzy, so be careful!

- Tattle: That's Ahmed, the intelligent guy from the Mooncrashers. He creates his own weapons to attack you. That's actually cool, but he's very quick at attacking. Be careful with his thunder magic as well and don't let him heal the others!

- Tattle: It's Archie, a Lunater from the Mooncrashers trio. He seems to be the silly one, but he still has got a lot of power up his sleeve. Be careful with his tornado, it can hurt you along with me or another of us. He can also make us dizzy, so we must try to avoid his attacks!

- The Mooncrashers are very similar to the Shadow Sirens from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Both groups use elements for their attacks, and in both its members' colorations each represent their respective attacks. Both groups also follow orders to seek for Mario and ruin his journey.
